The coupe SUV – which is likely to be called the MLC – will be based on the ML and shown at Beijing in concept form, before a production vehicle is revealed next year. For 50 years, vehicles have been making the run up a narrow, twisting paved lane on a stretch of rolling farmland near Leeds, trying to beat the clock. The route, of about 1,600 yards, at one stretch passes between two barns on the property.
