Very nice used grill center from an original 1969 Cobra Torino with 428CJ.  This came from the collection of an owner of 3 Talladegas at one time, as well as several other high performance Fords, Mustangs, and Cougars.  All 428CJ or 427 cars!  He loved his big blocks!!!

Take a good look at the pictures.  This was removed from the car in the 70's and stored on a shelf in a dry California garage. There is a little ding on the top, and one scrape at the bottom on the shiny part.    This has tiny stone marks etc as you would expect on a car that was driven.  At the same time, you will be hard pressed to find another used grill in this condition.  I do not have the outer sections any longer. They were just as nice if not better...

This and a fastback decklid in gorgeous condition is all that I have left.  Will be listing the decklid soon.

I specialize in correct detail parts for your Ford or Mercury cars made in the 60's and 70's. If you do not see what you are looking for, please ask. I have plenty of bits and pieces that are not listed!

NOTE:  I have added an $8 handling cost to cover the purchase of a new large box and materials to ship this in.  No charge for pickup.  Something this big and this nice needs to be shipped properly, and I'm not going to wait around for a used box to pop up....doesn't happen often...!

Buyer to pay actual USPS costs for shipping and handling. Actual shipping outside of US. USPS MO preferred or similar for payment if you do not like electronic payment methods. Your choice!   International bidders, please contact me before bidding.  International buyers are responsible for any and all import duties and taxes.   Shipping amount does not include insurance!

Scrap on the bottom just to the right of center or left if you were standing looking at the car.

This is a bit of a ding on the top. I believe to the right of center in the pic, but again, to the left of center if you were looking at the car.  There are a couple other small blems where the silver paint is scraped slightly.  Easy touch up work, or repaint the silver entirely...

Please see my other auctions for other potential Ford and Mercury parts that may fit 289 hipo, Boss 302, 351C, 351W, 351 CJ, Cleveland and Windsor, 390GT, 427, 429, and 428 Cobra Jets.

Mini One and Cooper D (2007): first official pictures

Wed, 17 Jan 2007

By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 17 January 2007 09:25 What's this, a hot-hatch diesel version of the new Mini? Hang on a minute, the new Mini Cooper D is faster than the old One D - but it's not exactly going to threaten the turbocharged Cooper S hot hatch. But the advent of a 109bhp turbodiesel means that BMW has dropped the One badge and upgraded the oil-burner to Cooper status this time.

Jaguar's stunning E-type defined 'car' for an American generation

Tue, 17 May 2011

You could start with the stunning good looks that make the Jaguar E-Type a permanent fixture at New York's Museum of Modern Art or with the style and character that defined an era. You could start with the technological innovation, the impressive performance or the value that the E-type's contemporaries simply could not match. In cold retrospect, there isn't much in the E-type--or the XKE, as it was widely known on this side of the Atlantic--to tarnish its image.

Why the Stingray's $52K sticker should come with an asterisk

Tue, 30 Apr 2013

General Motors resisted the urge to jack up the price on the 2014 Corvette Stingray, despite major enhancements on the seventh-generation sports car. The $51,995* sticker for the coupe, which is expected to hit showrooms by September, is just 1,400 bucks more than the current model, even with its more powerful engine, better fuel economy and vastly improved interior. Why the asterisk?
