Lancias, Fiats and Chryslers at Detroit motor show 2010

Tue, 12 Jan 2010

By Tim Pollard Motor Shows 12 January 2010 05:11 Strange goings-on in the newly assembled Fiat-Chrysler axis at Detroit. The Cobo Hall has been rearranged this year to reflect the change in ownership, and so we enjoyed the juxtaposition of a Ferrari 599XX alongside a Dodge Viper. Saab 9-3 ePower – First electric Saab revealed

Fri, 17 Sep 2010

The Saab 9-3 ePower - will spawn a 70 car test fleet fo electric Saabs It’s great to see Saab back doing what a car maker should be doing, instead of fighting for survival under the cosh of the big, bad Yanks. Sadly, Saab are doing what much of the car world is also doing; paying lip service to the concept of big electric cars. Oh, well.

Lincoln MKR concept

Tue, 02 Jan 2007

By Tim Pollard Motor Shows 02 January 2007 11:49 Lincoln MKR Concept: the lowdown Lincoln will slide the wraps off its answer to the Mercedes CLS at the Detroit Motor Show next week: this luxurious and wedgy MKR concept. It’s the work of ex-Volvo British designer Peter Horbury, who now heads Ford’s Amercian design division, and hints at how Lincolns will look in the years ahead: the Viking-hat grille is straddled by pencil-thin LED headlights, while the flanks of the car are notably uncluttered. Don’t expect to see the 21-inch wheels and ‘Lincoln star’ patterns in the tyre treads on production cars any time soon, though.
