OUR REBUILD SERVICE WORK IS WARRANTIED FOR A FULL TWO YEARS!!!! TWICE AS LONG AS ANYONE ELSE IN THE WORLD!!!!!! Triumph 'Greyface' 10,000 RPM tachometer and Triumph 'Greyface' 150 mile per hour speedometer. Bottom faces of these Triumph Smith's gauges are marked RSM 3003/01 on the tachometer and SSM 5001/06 on the speedometer. The speedometer only has .7 tenths of a single mile on it which was 'run in' distance only when it was on a calibration stand. The tachometer is, of course, marked as a 4 to 1 unit. The internal parts of these gauges have been removed, completely renovated and calibrated to meet the specifications of newly remanufactured gauges. The rebuild of these Smiths gauges included the following: The cans (cases) were professionally powdercoated to Concours quality standards. The cans do not have a single ding, dent or damage. Then the insides of the cans were painted with white epoxy paint (the only paint that will not peel, turn to dust) for many, many years. Then the blue, light enhancing, paint was sprayed on the one section of the inside the EXACT same way and in exactly the same shade as Smiths did it when they were built. This gives a softer shine to the light rather than just harsh white light. The center aluminum buttons were polished and the correct shade of flourescent red was added to the needles. Then NEW bezels, glass, upper and lower rubber glass sealing seals, new stainless steel chassis screws (will never rust or tarnish), the internal and external shock absorbing rubber biscuit mounts and the stainless steel nuts and washers (for the mounting of these to the stock Triumph bracket) were added. Comes with an original 'TRIP SHAFT' warning decal attached as shown. This is NOT the cheap decal being currently sold on Ebay and elsewhere that are simply replacements with lettering that smears and rubs off the first time you wipe down your gauges with a cloth. This set of Triumph gauges is ready to JUST BOLT ON AND GO!!!!. I understand these particular gauges are correct for all Triumph 650's in late year production runs of 1967 Triumphs and 1968, 1969. But you decide if these are right for your particular application. Shipping is $13.00 within the 48 states. Will ship throughout the world using the US Post Office's Expedited Express Mail International service which will arrive in 5-7 business days anywhere in the world (after mailing). Just use Ebay's shipping calculator to see the cost to your destination. You are, of course, invited to pick this item up locally for free. Regarding any returns: Item(s) returned must be accomplished within 7 days of receiving item. Return must be the same item you were sent. NO SUBSTITUTION OF ITEM OR SUBSTITUTION OF ANY / ALL PARTS ON ITEM AND ITEM MUST BE IN THE SAME UNDAMAGED CONDITION AS PICTURED AND AS SHIPPED. Any substitution will invalidate seller's return policy and as such WILL NOT BE HONORED AS A VALID RETURN. I will gladly combine shipping costs on multiple wins. Bidders outside USA will pay actual shipping charge to their destination. Paypal is payment of choice but I also accept other PROPAY, POSTAL, etc. Payment must be received within 7 days of end of auction. Any questions just e-mail me. Thank you and good luck on the bidding!!!

Greystone Concours: Batman's mansion hosts a car show

Mon, 12 Apr 2010

When the city of Beverly Hills puts on a concours, it picks a good location. The city owns the staid and stately Greystone Mansion, originally built in 1928 on a steep hillside above the city by oil tycoon Edward Doheney for his son, Ned. After the Doheneys left in 1955, it was used for any number of movie shoots--from Ghostbusters and the George Clooney Batman movie to Austin Powers Goldmember and the 1966 Zsa Zsa Gabor classic Picture Mommy Dead.

Porsche nearing 900 orders for its 918 Spyder hybrid concept

Mon, 26 Apr 2010

When Porsche AG showed the 918 Spyder at the Geneva show in March, we said it was a car to “make anyone a believer in hybrid supercar tech.” Well, maybe not anyone, but Porsche now says it has almost 900 potential buyers for the two-seater hybrid prototype as the German automaker gets closer to approving production. Porsche development chief Wolfgang Duerheimer said he is confident the company will soon reach the threshold of 1,000 orders, which is how many the company needs to “make a sound business case.” The 918 has 680 hp and, according to Porsche, will get 78 mpg and run from 0 to 60 mph in 3 seconds. Porsche said it wants to double its overall vehicle sales to 150,000 in the next five years or so.

Fiat 500L MPW (Living) is a stretched, seven-seat Fiat 500

Wed, 19 Jun 2013

The Fiat 500L MPW (Living outside UK) is a seven-seat 500 You may think MINI has stretched the ‘brand’ way beyond common sense, but Fiat are running a close second with endless variations on the 500 theme. This is the latest – the Fiat 500L MPW. The 500L MPW (it stands for ‘Multi Purpose Wagon but will be called the 500L Living outside the UK) is the already odd Fiat 500L stretched by 201mm to add in a couple of extra kiddie seats in the back.
