What I have up for purchase here is a good used and completely original Mercury lower unit/gearcase assembly,, just pulled from a 1982 70hp Merc outboard that we are parting out and fitting a bunch of 1968-1988 30hp thru 70hp Merc and Mariner models running this style gearcase. This lower unit would be perfect for the guy who fixing up a vintage Mercury and looking for a period or model correct parts or for the guy who needs this assembly to get that older vintage outboard back on the water. Now as noted, this lower unit was pulled from a 1982 Mercury 70hp,, but this style housing will fit again many of the 1968-1988 30hp, 40hp, 45hp, 50hp, 60hp, 65hp and 70hp Mercury and Mariner models,, but please check your parts manual or old lower unit for more fits and applications or email us...

2012 Honda Insight We’re still not convinced that Honda has its heart in the Insight Hybrid, but they have no choice other than to present some semblance of competition to the stranglehold Toyota has developed in the hybrid market. So in an effort to make it more appealing, the unconvincing 2012 Honda Insight gets a bit of a facelift and, perhaps more appealingly for many, a cut in emissions to under the magic 100g/km. Titivations to the Insight for 2012 include a new front grill and bumper – just so existing Insight owners can feel fed up at driving the ‘old’ Insight – and a smaller spoiler and wiper at the back for better visibility.

Toyota paid $10 million to settle unintended acceleration lawsuit

Toyota Motor Corp. agreed to pay $10 million to settle a lawsuit with the families of four people who were killed in an accident that led to the automaker’s recall of millions of vehicles over unintended acceleration concerns. The settlement was reached in September, but the amount was not made public at the time after both Toyota and the plaintiffs agreed to keep the deal confidential.
