GM 4053 DZ carb dated 702 or 1967 October 2nd week. Original part number 3923289 DZ. Ran on my car as recently as 9-28-2013. Run perfectly replaced only because needed a slightly earlier date.These early run 4053 carbs are extremely hard to find. This carb is correct for a 1968 Z 28 or L78 L79 Camaro Chevelle Nova Or Impala with 396 / 375 or 302 / 290 hp combinations.This carb has pitting on the air horn and is not as bad as the pic shows but is not perfectly readable. Most digits are.Otherwise in VGC.No performance issues at all. Complete original carb with good baseplate and correct metering blocks 5583 and 4519. Flavio Manzoni to Head Ferrari Design

Flavio Manzoni, Head of Creative Design at the Volkswagen Group, is set to take on a new role as Chief of Design at Ferrari starting January 1, 2010. Manzoni, currently part of the design team headed up by Walter de'Silva, will be based at Centro Stile Ferrari and charged with creating a new brand identity for the Italian marque. He will report directly to Managing Director Amedeo Felisa.

The power junkies over at Hennessey have uploaded a YouTube video of the company's Venom GT hypercar. The Lotus-based GT sprints from 0-to-228 mph in 19.96 seconds, or the time it takes to update your Facebook status. Behind the driver of the Venom GT is a Corvette ZR1-sourced LS9 V8.

The Nissan Altima and Ford Fusion have entered the thick of the midsize sedan sales chase -- long a battle mainly between the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord -- leaving the rest of the pack a few laps behind. The also-rans include the Chevrolet Malibu and Hyundai Sonata. A lackluster design has hampered sales of the Malibu, and short supplies have held back the Sonata.
