small crack on lens; dial indicator faded
Manufacturer Part Number:1VW1116 Part Brand:Motorola

Here we have an original 1968 VOLKSWAGEN SAPPHIRE IX AM radio.  I'm not sure what models or other years this may fit so please do your homework first before bidding.  Sorry, but I don't have a set of knobs or the faceplate for this unit.  Part number for this radio is 8SMV and it was made by Motorola.  Radio has been tested and is in working condition.  Pushbuttons work very smoothly and set stations properly.  Manual tuning works fine up and down the scale.  The plastic dial lens has a small crack on the left side which can be seen in the pictures.  Numbering is still very bright.  Dial indicator is faded and could use a repaint.  I usually do this but can't figure out the proper way to safely remove the clips that hold the lens in place.  Dial light is functional.  There is a black wire for power, a very short gray wire for the dial light, and a pair of wires (brown) for the speaker.  There are no connectors on the ends.  The casing is in good condition with just a few minor rust spots.  Nice replacement for your existing, non working unit.  Just swap the lenses and paint the dial indicator while you have the lens removed.  I have sold many radios over the years through eBay and try to describe them as accurately as possible.  I take pride in my work and strive for 100% customer satisfaction.  I believe my feedback is a good reflection of these efforts.  Please add $11.95 postage for domestic shipping.  International bidders welcome.  PayPal accepted.  Please contact me for further payment options.   Thanks for looking and good luck bidding!

OFFICIAL: Lamborghini Veneno Roadster

Sat, 19 Oct 2013

Lamborghini Veneno Roadster When the first photo of the Lamborghini Veneno Roadster – the open-top take on the Veneno, revealed earlier this year – appeared online yesterday, it seemed likely we’d soon get the official reveal from Sant’agata. And here it is. The Veneno Roadster is another part of Lamborghini’s 50th anniversary celebrations and represents the extremes of what the marque can do.

Spyker B6 Venator Spyder on the way

Tue, 30 Apr 2013

But much of that will probably depend on real buyers stumping up real money to get on the waiting list for a car we still don’t know a great deal about (in particular what underpins it) but which does look good and manages to encompass Spyker’s traditional styling cues whilst still conspiring to look very current. Now, buried amongst the latest financial report from Spyker – which shows no real turnover or profit, loans in to shares and an injection of cash from Youngman – comes the news that Victor is already getting a bit ahead of himself again with plans to reveal the B6 Venator Spyder later this year. That looks a bit of a ‘run before you can walk’ scenario for Spyker - especially as Victor says production of the C8 Aileron will gather pace this year and the D8 Peking-to-Paris SUV will be a priority – but if Spyker can produce a Venator Spyder that looks as good as the coupe it may be the right way forward.
