Attention: Pontiac, A-Body enthusiasts up for auction OEM, 1968-72 Accelerator pedal assembly. Auction includes accelerator pedal, retainer pin, spring and brackets. Retaining bracket has been powdered coated black and is correct for automatic equipped cars. Parts are in great condition. Pedal assembly is correct all for 1968-72, Pontiac, A-Body makes and models. Models include: GTO, Judge, LeMans, Tempest and GT-37. Please note: accelerator cable bracket has been repaired (see photo). Jaguar C-X75: Jaguar’s Hypercar stillborn

The Jaguar C-X75 hybrid hypercar will not go in to production. Jaguar cite the poor economic outlook is behind the decision to scrap the C-X75. But the gas turbines soon bit the dust as Jaguar realised the technology was just not mature enough for a production car, so they replaced the gas turbines with a 1.6 litre turbocharged and supercharged petrol engine charging the batteries that powered the two electric motors, one on each axle.

BMW Concept X5 eDrive hybrid set for Frankfurt motor show

BMW is on a roll when it comes to electric-car technology, and the German automaker will be showing a new X5, dubbed the BMW Concept X5 eDrive, at the Frankfurt Motor Show in just a few weeks. The concept uses a four-cylinder gasoline engine with BMW TwinPower Turbo technology coupled with a 95-hp electric motor. This hybrid powerplant is coupled with BMW's xDrive all-wheel drive system.

Kia Soul EV goes in to production for UK and Europe

The Kia Soul EV (pictured) is now being produced for Europe The electric Kia Soul was revealed at the Chicago Motor Show back in February, with Kia promising it would go on sale in the UK and Europe late in 2014. And that looks to be on track. Kia has announced that the Soul EV for the export market has now gone in to production – the first electric car from Kia destined for export from South Korea – with the first cars off the production line destined for Europe.
