What I have for y’all here is a used original gauge cluster including the optional electric clock for ’68 Chevy full-size passenger cars.

Housing is molded with GM part number 6480705_4; lens marked 6480702 – back is rubber stamped with date code 1368.

Assembly is in decent physical condition with the only damage being a broken mounting tab.

Speedometer and odometer work under bench-test; clock buzzes and turns sporadically under power; fuel gauge is untested.

Gauge faces and needles present well.  Circuit board appears undamaged and light sockets as shown are included.

Lens shows some scuffs/scratches and is dirty inside.

Toyota recalls 2003 Sequoia for stability-control problem

Toyota is recalling thousands of the 2003 Sequoia SUV to repair a potential stability-control problem, the company announced on Wednesday. The recall covers 50,000 of the SUVs produced early in the 2003 model year. The problem is the stability control could activate at too slow of a speed (about 9 mph), limiting the ability of the Sequoia to accelerate.

Today's car design students "have got a fantastic opportunity in a very different world," say Citroën designers. Though the automotive industry has been suffering in many regions in the current economic climate, the next generation of car designers "have got a fantastic opportunity," says Andrew Cowell, Senior Design Manager at Citroën, in conversation with Car Design News at the Royal College of Art, London. "The industry will evolve quite a lot, and these guys (the students on the postgraduate Vehicle Design course) will come out into a very different world." "They'll start in a very interesting period", says Alexandre Malval, Citroën Design Director and himself a graduate from the RCA course.

Ford Transit Connect Taxi invades Hong Kong

Ford is taking World War T(axi) to Nissan with its Transit Connect Taxi, which added Hong Kong to its list of cities served on Monday. Redesigned for 2014, the Transit Connect features a 2.5-liter four with a six-speed automatic transmission. That engine makes 175 hp and 170 lb-ft in the Fusion, but we’d expect it to produce less for fuel mileage purposes in the Transit.
