I am retiring and its time to sell alot of the goodies my late husband and I have accumulated over the years. Up for sale is a nice 1968 Chevrolet Chevy II, Nova AM Radio. The tag on the side of the case says Model 7302451. There is a note on the bottom cover that says " Serviced ! Plays Good!". We picked up this radio and alot of others over the years at various venues. I recently had it tested and it plays great up and down the dial. The case is clean with no rust. All mechanicals work as they should. All station presets also work. The nose, lens and pushbuttons are in good condition. The radio comes with a full set of usable knobs as shown. Center to center distance on the shafts is approx. 6 1/4 inch. I'm selling the radio without a warranty because the electonics are over 35 years old and I don't trust old electronics. I will be putting up more radios from my late husbands estate for sale this week and next week. The radio you see in the picture is the one you get. Businessman opens private toll road

Mike Watts, 62, has until Christmas to recoup his £300,000 investment or face losing his house. He is charging motorists £2 per journey to use his bypass made from rolled chippings and avoid the closed section of the A431 between Bath and Bristol.

Sun, 25 Apr 2010Part 2 of our review of the 2010 Range Rover Sport TDV6 Land Rover has had a thorough play with their range for 2010, a big part of which has been shoehorning in the latest lumps from Jaguar. The Range Rover Sport now comes with the 5.0 litre S/C engine from the XFR and the rather wheezy 2.7 litre diesel is swapped for the much livelier 3.0 litre from the XF. Not the 3.0 litre from the XF diesel S, mind you – that would have trampled all over the 3.6 TDV8 – but the slightly more pedestrian version with 242bhp.
Driving licence costs to be cut by almost a third
Mon, 28 Jul 2014The cost of a driving licence is going down Actually the cost of applying foe a driving licence is a drop in the ocean compared with just about every other motoring cost, but the news that the Government are planning to cut the cost of anything is always welcome news. The Roads Minister, Stephen Hammond, has announced that the Government is planning to cut the cost of applying for your first driving licence from £50 to £34 if you process your application digitally and by 15 per cent if you do a paper application. That will also see the 10 year renewal of photo licences fall from £20 to £14 and driver tachograph card – for commercial drivers – will also drop from £38 to £32.
