Jaguar Land Rover strong September sales thanks to Evoque & XF 2.2

JLR Sales up in September thanks to XF 2.2 & Evoque We’ve had cause to take Jaguar Land Rover (well, Jaguar) to task lately for disappointing sales, particularly in the US and the UK. So it seems only fair, after dishing out disapprobation, that we should balance that with a story about a decent set of sales figures for JLR in September, especially in the face of weakening sales from other manufacturers in the UK. Unsurprisingly – although how long it will last is debatable – China was the strongest performer for Jaguar, certainly in percentage terms, with a rise of 156 per cent for Jaguar and 85 per cent for Land Rover and year on year figures up 60 per cent.

2012 Lexus GS 250 debuts in China this week We’ve had the reveal of the 2012 Lexus GS 450h, and we’ve even reported on the US GS 350 and that the UK and Europe are to get an entry-level GS – the Lexus GS 250. But so far we’ve not had a proper reveal of the GS 250, just a bit of information and the assumption it’s a less powerful and less well-equipped version of the GS 450h. Cadillac ELR gives paddle shifters new purpose

We're learning more about the Cadillac ELR, which is set to hit showrooms in limited quantities early next year. Cadillac revealed Friday that the Volt in luxury clothing will use paddle shifters in a whole new way. Instead of using them to shift through gears, ELR drivers will be able to tap the paddles to engage a new feature called Regen on Demand.
