C8VY-13A025-A1 New Take Off

I've had this part in storage for over 20 years.

(This came off a Ford dealers parts shelf...I inspect all parts very carefully looking for any signs of an electrical part being mounted or plugged in, most people wouldn't even notice, but I'm looking for mounting marks, etc...normally this is because a mechanic started to replace the part, then discovered the old part wasn't bad so he returned to the parts manager who put it back on the shelf...there is no logical reason to put a bad part back on the shelf...of course if the mechanic then installs the part later, nobody knows or cares as long as their car is fixed...with that being said...this part is SOLD AS IS)

Audi tracks down the last Horch

Fri, 27 Nov 2009

The last Horch built, found in the middle of Texas It’s been looking likely for a while that now VW has taken control of Porsche it may decide to rebrand the VW Group as Auto Union. Auto Union was the root of Audi, and was formed in the ’30s when Audi, Horch, DKW and Wanderer joined forces to become Auto Union and pool their resources to cope with the depression (sound familiar?). Which might explain why Audi has been scouring the planet for rare cars from its Auto Union days.

Bluebird Electric aiming for UK Land Speed Record

Mon, 18 Jul 2011

Bluebird Electric You’d hope that anyone of any age would associate ‘Bluebird’ with ‘Campbell’, but as many of our schools don’t seem too keen on anything that may be even remotely considered part of Britain’s history, perhaps not. So we’ll just throw in that Sir Malcolm Campbell drove a variety of Bluebird (or Blue Bird) cars to new land speed records on Pendine Sands in the 1920s and his son, Donald Campbell, matched his father’s achievements with world speed records on both land and water – the only man to have held land and water speed records at the same time. And he too used the Bluebird moniker for his record-breaking transport of choice. Fast forward the best part of fifty years and it’s the grandson of Sir Malcolm – Don Wales – who’s plotting to take the Bluebird Electric to a new UK Land Speed Record, and planning to make a start on that quest at Pendine Sands (a location Top Gear fans will probably recognise – and was it Pendine Sands on the new Torchwood series last week?).

McLaren 12C GT Sprint appears at Auto Zurich

Thu, 07 Nov 2013

McLaren confirmed earlier this month that the 12C GT Sprint would cost $316,000, converted from British pounds. On Thursday, we were sent a selection of photos of the new track car by photographer David Kaiser, from a car show in Zurich, Switzerland. According to a McLaren representative at the booth, the 12C GT Sprint pictured is the first production car.
