Subaru XV Black Limited Edition: Costs from £24,495
Tue, 22 Oct 2013The Subaru XV Black Limited Edition Subaru launched their XV SUV – basically a high-riding Crossover Impreza – back in 2012, and it was a decent offering. But by this summer they were looking to add a bit more fizz to sales and decided there was room to make substantial cuts in the list price of the XV, taking it down by a significant £2300 right across the range. Now, with prices cut back and the XV starting from £18,995, it seems Subaru has decided it’s time to shift some more expensive metal, so we’ve got the Subaru XV Black Limited Edition which adds more kit and style and starts at £24,495.
Lotus's glimmer of hope: Proton stands by Hethel
Wed, 09 Jan 2013After another painful year of sales for Lotus in the UK – down 58% on 2011 - Norfolk's beleagured sports car brand has kicked off the New Year with the grand unveiling of its new flagship Malaysian showroom, and the thumbs-up from senior Proton company suits that Lotus isn't on its last legs. The announcement comes in the same week Lotus’s sales figures were released for 2012. Showing a substantial 58% decrease in sales and selling just 137 vehicles, Lotus Cars was the worst performer in the UK with a woeful 0.01% share of the market. Are Lotus's Malaysian owners sticking by the company?
Bentley’s biofuel Continental at Geneva 2009

Bentley today released this single photo of a biofuel-powered new model that is designed to convince us that Crewe’s cars can survive in these carbon-crunched times. Very few details have been released – not even a name for this shadow-shrouded first image – but the car appears to be based on the Continental family, judging by that familiar snout.
