This is an original 1968 Pontiac owner’s manual and an original 1974 Chrysler and Plymouth body service manual. They are both in great shape.   The 1968 Pontiac owner’s manual covers Tempest, Tempest Custom, LeMans, Tempest Safari, GTO, Catalina, Executive, Bonneville, Grand Prix and Firebird. On the front cover there’s what looks like a crayon mark. There are no pages missing and the pages are clear and absolutely readable. On page 65  there’s a small tear and a fold over page damage (see photo.) On page 69 there’s a small piece of the page missing (see photo.)    The 1972 Chrysler and Plymouth body service manual covers Imperial Le Baron, Satellite, Roadrunner, Cuda, Barracuda, Duster and Valiant. There are no pages missing and the pages are clear and absolutely readable. There are no smudged marks on any of the pages. There are some smudged marks on the front cover and some writing at the top right hand corner and on the shirt of the figure masking the roof. There’s a 9/6” tear one third down from the top of the front cover on the right hand side, and a 9/6” tear at the bottom of the left hand side of the front cover. On the first page there’s pencil writing with a paint code EW-1 and the name of the paint Alpine White. There’s also the name T. Mc Laugnlin written on the top right hand side of the page (see photo.)

General Motors says Magna's Opel bid has obstacles, RHJ's is easier to accept

General Motors Co. says a bid for Opel from Magna International faces hurdles while a rival offer from Belgian investor RHJ International would be easier to accept. Writing on GM Europe's Web site, John Smith, GM's chief negotiator for the Opel sale, says Magna's bid "contained elements around intellectual property and our Russian operations that simply could not be implemented." He adds: "GM has partners in other parts of the world who have joint ownership of these assets ...

Fisker to buy former GM Solstice/Sky plant in Delaware for $18 million

The old General Motors plant in Delaware that until July cranked out sports cars for Pontiac, Saturn and Opel will be sold and retooled to build plug-in hybrids with UAW workers. Fisker Automotive said Tuesday that it will buy the plant, located in Wilmington, Del., from Motors Liquidation Co.--the old General Motors Corp.--for $18 million. If Fisker's plans come to fruition, production at the plant could start in late 2012.
