Manufacturers report 2013 sales boom
Wed, 08 Jan 2014CAR MANUFACTURERS are reporting strong surges in sales for 2013, with one mainstream brand up by more than 55%. So far Ford, Vauxhall, Skoda, MG, Lexus, Renault, Audi and Mercedes have all reported excellent sales performance, with Mercedes having passed the 100,000 registrations per year mark for the first time in the UK. Largely thanks to the introduction of the Dacia brand this year, the Renault Group has seen a 55.3% rise in sales, to 63,319 units.
SEAT confirms it will launch its first SUV in 2016

Likely to be inspired by the IBX concept car, the new SEAT 4x4 will share technology with Volkswagen's compact SUV range. Little has been announced about the launch of SEAT's SUV, but the company has shown a clutch of concept cars over the past decade, including the IBX (above) and the Tribu (below).
Lancia postpones UK launch

The company had planned a glitzy British launch at the end of summer 2008, spearheaded by the all-new Audi A3 rivalling Delta (pictured) that was unveiled at March’s Geneva motor show.The comeback has now been rescheduled for summer 2009. Sources cited two major reasons for the delay.
