Porsche 918 Spyder microsite goes live
Tue, 25 Jun 2013Porsche is entering the hybrid-hypercar market this fall with its pretty 918 Spyder. We saw the first concept 918 way back in 2010, and we've been seeing official photos and video of 918 pre-production mules testing for quite a while now. The early impressions of the driving experience are in, and from what we understand, it's pretty incredible.
Infiniti G25 revealed – but not for the UK
Fri, 13 Aug 2010The entry-level Infiniti G25 - thankfully just for the USA Well, we had what Infiniti called a ‘Performance’ debut at Pebble Beach with the first of Infiniti’s answers to the AMG and M Series in the Infiniti IPL G Coupe, and now we get the more prosaic debut – the Infiniti G25 with a 2.5 litre V6. The entry level G Range saloon gets a modest 218 horses and 187lb’ft of torque, a seven speed auto and will come in a choice of rear wheel drive or all wheel drive and, as far as we can see, you won’t be able to opt for a manual. Infiniti say that the G25 is for those who want an Infiniti G but who don’t want the power of the G37.
Mazda sells 10 millionth car in America
Wed, 23 Oct 2013The first car Mazda ever sold in America was the R100, a cute lil' two-door fastback that was, unsurprisingly, rotary-powered. The year was 1970. Iggy Pop had made that much explicitly clear with "1970." Just imagine how weird it must have been for Americans to wrap their minds around some tiny Japanese upstart, selling a car approximately the size of a 1970 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham's wheelwell, powered by -- what's this, German technology?
