Up for your auction bids is this very nice original used 1969-70 Mopar B-body automatic console woodgrain style front-most top plate. Includes shift indicator plate and black plastic slide that goes around shift handle. The Chrysler part # cast into the bottom of this plate is: 2589849. Featured 1969-70 B-body Mopar console top plate is a nice clean piece, stored away for many years inside on the shelf. It has nice shiny, bright chrome, with only very minimal pitting as these go out there. The woodgrain is all original and looks very nice still, with no peeling, bubbling, discoloring, or tears. I only a see a few normal wear light scratches and little nicks. The black paint in recessed area looks very good from just a little distance away, but up close you will see a few scratches and nicks. Use as is, or scuff a little and re-paint it to be mint. The shift indicator has a nice clear lens and backing. All mounting tabs and studs are good. While not shown here, I will also include a small curved metal plate and two nuts for underside front mounting studs, that holds front of this plate to lip of console body. Alfa MiTo TwinAir arrives
Mon, 16 Jul 2012Alfa Romeo has bolted the 875cc TwinAir engine from the Fiat 500 in to the MiTo to produce a congestion charge busting new MiTo. The new Alfa Romeo MiTo TwinAir is a logical move by Alfa to produce a MiTo with green credentials but which still offer a decent drive and a dose of fun. In the Fiat 500, the TwinAir engine is a bit of a hoot, sounding a bit like a cross between a lawnmower and a 2-stroke and with bags of character and lively to boot.
Range Rover Sport claims desert crossing record

But Land Rover claims to have broken the record for crossing Saudi Arabia's 'Empty Quarter,' starting at Wadi Adda Wasir in Saudi Arabia, and traveling east across the desert to the United Arab Emirates border. The 'Empty Quarter' is known to be one of the harshest and most challenging environments on the planet, and is actually the largest sand desert in the world and the second largest desert overall after the Sahara.

Tue, 16 Sep 2014Range Rover Evoque about to go in to production in China It’s been clear Jaguar Land Rover intend to build cars in China – a huge market for Jaguar Land Rover – for some time, but now, with a new factory about to open near Shanghai, that’s about to become a reality. JLR’s new plant in China is in Changhsu and is a joint venture with JLR’s China partner – Chery Automobile – where Chery will be producing JLR cars with a Chery badge on the bonnet. The new plant is due to open in October – with production starting soon after – and as well as producing Chery cars for China JLR will also be building the Range Rover Evoque – JLR’s biggest seller in China – for the local market.
