New Ferrari Enzo – F70 / FX70 – on track
Thu, 26 Nov 2009The next generation Enzo (current Enzo pictured) is on track for release in 2012. With news the other day that the Lamborghini Urus is being lined up to take on the next generation Ferrari Enzo – the F70/FX70 – we’re now hearing that Ferrari’s plans to replace the Enzo are very much on track. It’s been a long time since the limited production Enzo – just 400 were produced – came to an end, and seven years since it was first announced.
RAC Foundation – Road charging is inevitable
Tue, 06 Jul 2010The RAC Foundation calls for Road Charging. According to RAC Foundation Director Stephen Glaister, a predicted 33% increase in traffic by 2025 and a reduction in road building schemes and cuts in general make a pay as you go system the answer to congested roads. All of which is fine and dandy – it gives the RAC Foundation something to do and gets them a bit of PR – but it”s hardly joined-up thinking.
Subaru’s rear-drive sports car (2011) at 2011 Geneva motor show
Tue, 22 Feb 2011While Toyota unveiled a revised version of its FT-86 sports car at the 2011 Geneva motor show, Subaru chose to only preview the powertrain of its 'Toyobaru' rear-drive sports coupe. Subaru and Toyota are developing the car together, and each will produce a version of the rear-drive coupe in 2012, but so far it’s been Toyota that’s grabbed all the limelight. Yes, though Subaru was originally due to show a full concept version of its RWD sports car at Geneva, but has instead only revelead the powertrain and basic body shape – not the best move, as the Toyota looks good, and without body panels you only imagine this Scooby version to have bland, flat body panels. The engine is a naturally aspirated 2.0-litre flat four, and the car rides on 17in wheels.
