I pulled this fuel pump off of a 1969 427 about 15 years ago because when I took the car out of storage the fuel pump wasn't pumping. The pump looks to be in pretty good condition, but it will need to be rebuilt. It's been on a shelf in my garage since I removed it.
Interchange Part Number:40727 Warranty:No Other Part Number:40727 Country/Region of Manufacture:United States

The engine this came off of was a 427 from a 1969 Caprice.  I put this 427 into my Camaro in 1982 and drove the car for a few years.  About 1986 the car went into storage where it sat until 2002.  Trying to get the car running again, there appeared to be a problem with this fuel pump so I pulled it out and replaced with a rebuilt pump.  This one went on the shelf till now.  I want to make it perfectly clear, this fuel pump might or might not work, I don't know.  I suggest that you rebuild the pump.  I also noticed that I had written on the side of the pump in pencil "1969 427", so I'm sure that this is the pump I pulled off of the engine in 2003.  I still have the Camaro with the 1969 427 in it, but I have no desire to rebuild this pump and put it back on the engine.  Hopefully I'm clear about the condition of the pump.  I don't see any manufacture names on the housing, so I don't know who built it.

Thanks for looking,

John

Active safety features: What your next car needs to have

Wed, 15 Jun 2011

Car safety used to mean double buckling your seatbelt when you squeezed three people into the front row. Now, with electronic stability control (ESC), cross-traffic alerts and adaptive headlights, it's a bit more difficult to sort through all of the available options. Of course you want to choose the safest car you can for yourself and your family.
