This is an original 1969 BMW confidential ‘salesman only’ brochure.  It is 8” X 8”, has 32 pages & is in mint condition.  It is meant to give the salesman all the information he needs to sell the new 1969 BMW 2500, 2800 & 2800 CS models.  It shows pictures of the 2500, 2800 & 2800 CS & covers many of the specs & features of each.  It then compares them to the Audi 100LS, the Saab 99, the Volvo 164, the Mercedes 250 & the Mercedes 280SE & points out the problems & weaknesses of these models as compared to the BMW models.  This is not a commonly seen piece (each dealership on got a few copies for the sales force, they were not given out to the public).   Thanks for looking please browse our store.

A television advert for the car buying service webuyanycar.com has been ruled “misleading” by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA), and must not be shown again in its current form. The complaint and the decision centred on the phrase “no nasty surprises” in combination with the lack of any reference to the company’s mandatory administration fee. Lamborghini has finally confirmed the Gallardo is now at the end of its life, with the 2013 Gallardo the ‘Final Gallardo’. But the Lamborghini Gallardo is anything but new as it’s been with us for a decade and, although still selling remarkably well, is well past its sell-by date. So we’d half expected that Paris may have seen the first sight of the Gallardo’s replacement rather than a mildly titivated version of the current car, but that now seems likely to happen at the Geneva Motor Show in 2013 after Lamborghini put up a website this week – The Final Gallardo – leaving us in no doubt the Gallardo’s time is up.

Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars will unveil its new Phantom Drophead Coupe at the Detroit Auto Show on Sunday 7 January. A number of features first seen on 100EX, the experimental concept shown by Rolls-Royce in 2004, have been engineered into the new Phantom Drophead Coupe. Two of the most visually striking of these are the brushed steel bonnet and A-pillar and the teak decking for the rear hood cover.
