1969 Camaro Chromed Automatic Shifter Plate on 2040-parts.com

Up for auction is a chromed 1969 Camaro floor shifter plate.  What makes this item unique – is that I didn’t like the wood-grain look that comes with these shifter plates, so when I bought the plate, I had it resurfaced and chromed.

The item is good quality – had no issues with it.  Bought it for a rebuild of a 1969 Camaro.  The car was set up for automatic transmission.  However, after having the car on the road for about 300 miles I decided to upgrade the engine and since I was doing that – also change it to manual transmission.  So this item didn’t see much use.

One note – when I purchased this plate, it was indicated as only for a 1969 Camaro.  While I can’t confirm this, I believe the only difference between the 1968 and the 1969 shifter plate was the style of wood grain trim, which I ended up removing and chroming anyway – so I would think it would fit both a 1968 and a 1969 Camaro.  That being said, since I never had this in a 1968 Camaro, I can’t confirm that the shifter plate will fit in a 1968 Camaro.

Hyundai i40 Tourer (i40 Estate) Price and Models

Wed, 01 Jun 2011

Hyundai i40 Tourer - starts at £18,395 Yes, it’s the long-awaited prices for the Hyundai 140 Estate – or the trendy ‘Hyundai i40 Tourer‘ which Hyundai prefers – which is to be the first i40 to hit UK showrooms, ahead of the i40 saloon which we won’t see until early next year. Not surprisingly, Hyundai has undercut both Ford’s Mondeo and Vauxhall’s Insignia with its entry-level i40 Tourer 1.6 GDi Blue Drive which comes in £500 less than the Ford and £1k less than the Vauxhall and offers the lowest BIK in its class. That’ll help.
