This is an original 1968 1969 Pontiac Firebird console removed from a 1969 Firebird 400. It has the optional factory clock and the shift plate with 3 speed indicator for the his/hers 1969 Shifter on woodgrain. There are no cracks or extra drill holes in the top or sides of the console and the luster on the console top is excellent. One-off 1990 Corvette ZR-1 Spyder saved from sinkhole; video shows extraction
Tue, 01 Apr 2014You'll have to excuse the National Corvette Museum's timing -- museum staff are excited to report that a one-off 1990 Corvette ZR-1 Spyder has just been pulled from the sinkhole that opened up beneath the show floor in February, and they want you to know that this isn't some sort of cruel April 1 hoax. Don't believe us? Just watch the video below There hasn't been much headline-making news out of the Corvette museum since the 1 millionth Corvette built was saved from the sarlacc pit in early March, bringing the number of cars returned to ground level to five.
Volkswagen and BYD get cosy
Tue, 26 May 2009VW and BYD have signed an agreement to work together on developing battery technology (BYD F3DM plug-in Hybrid pictured). Volkswagen has announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Chinese car maker and EV specialist BYD to work together “in the area of electric mobility”. Seems sensible.
