Condition:Used

Complete 4 speed set-up from a 1969 Impala, including the M-20 transmission.  All factory parts, such as the special cross member onto which mounts the factory shifter unique to a 1969, maybe 68?? You will get pedals, Z bar, all rods, M-20 (shifts good), bell housing, flywheel, everything.  Not starter, drive shaft, nor speedo cable.  You can have the old oem pressure plate that was not so smooth, a high force RAM pressure plate that was very smooth (pictured), or the current 3 finger poc that is not smooth at all. The original aluminum bell housing was cracked, so I use the early 60’s open bottom iron bell housing that I highly prefer, so you can see the air gaps.  But I do not have the rod that goes to the steering column, nor the steering column.  The spring loaded detent mechanism for reverse wore out years ago, I made an equivalent device, works great.  I have the M20 cast numbers somewhere...

This 4 speed is in my 1970 Impala convertible, that I have owned for 30+ years.  My left leg says it is time to go back to an automatic. If you happen to have a very nice 61-64 4 door Cadillac and want to trade, my 70 Impala ($21K value) for your vehicle, I’m open.  Or a 67 or 68 Ford XL convertible.  Or a 70-72 Lemans convertible.  Or 60-65 Pontiac Bonneville/GP. Or

****These 4 speed parts are still in my Impala, and may take me up to **6** weeks to remove.  ***    So remember this as you bid.

You are welcome to come by and look before you bid.  Car up on blocks now for 700R4 install.  *******Local pick-up only.*******************

Land Rover LRX concept

Tue, 18 Dec 2007

By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 18 December 2007 11:19 Here is Land Rover’s riposte to the anti-SUV brigade: the long-awaited baby Landy – a hybrid 4x4 so small it shares a footprint with a Ford Focus. The LRX will be shown at the Detroit Motor Show in January 2008 and presages a new, compact Land Rover due on sale in the next decade. Think shrunken Freelander coupe and you’ve got the LRX in a nutshell.

McLaren Production Centre opened by PM David Cameron

Call me Dave at Woking with Ron, Jen & Lew The launch of McLaren Automotive and the McLaren MP4-12C has been a bit of a roller coaster ride for Ron Dennis and McLaren. The reviews of the MP4-12C were overwhelmingly positive – with a few small caveats – and the press, on the whole, loved that McLaren were taking on the might of Ferrari with a car that truly was its match. But there have been a few hiccups along the way.

Lotus planning Electric Car

Sat, 03 Jan 2009

I suppose it was inevitable that Lotus would not settle for simply supplying Tesla with the chassis for their electric car, and would look to jump on the bandwagon of electric cars (EV). Lotus CEO, Michael Kimberly, has told the Financial Times that Lotus is planning an electric car “sooner rather than later”, and went on to say that it will be an extended range battery vehicle. Extended range EVs (like the Chevy Volt) are probably the best option for a mainstream car at the moment, at least until you can buy hydrogen at the pumps other than in California.
