This is a good used short shaft lower unit that was removed from a 1969 mercury 35 hp outboard motor. The drive shaft is 22 inches from the top of the water pump to the end. Both the drive shaft and prop shaft are 3/4 inch 11 spline.

This is a clean complete assembly. The gears and bearings are good. The drive shaft turns freely, and it shifts smoothly. The water pump assembly, thrust hub, tab washers and prop nut are also included. The only thing it needs is a new impeller, and some new gear oil. I cannot give any guarantee about the condition of the oil seals, but when I drained the gear oil out it didn't look too bad. Please see the pictures for cosmetic condition.

Thanks for looking. I am open to any questions. I usually ship within two business days excluding weekends and holidays. All of the items I sell are very well packaged. Shipping is by priority mail, and the buyers pays the actual shipping cost based on the size and weight of the package. All used items are sold as is. Your positive feedback is greatly appreciated.

It feels counterintuitive. Expensive gasoline not only helped propel new-vehicle sales in the first quarter. It was a key factor in the surge.
