Peugeot 3008 HYbrid4 first of string of new Peugeot hybrids

Peugeot will launch the new 3008 HYbrid4 crossover in autumn 2011 as the world's first diesel-electric hybrid car - and it's the first in a string of hybrid cars coming from Peugeot and Citroen. The 3008 HYbrid4 will be followed by a brace of 508 hybrids in spring 2011, and engineers have told CAR that any car on the mid-sized PF2 and full-sized PF3 platforms can use the same innovative electric 4wd architecture.  Although pricey at £26,995, Peugeot expects to sell 10,000 of the 3008 HYbrid4 in its first full year and the parent group PSA Peugeot Citroen is targeting 100,000 annual sales of hybrids as soon as 2015. Jaguar F-Type Coupe – The Videos We had the Jaguar F-Type Coupe finally bow in at the Los Angeles Auto Show last month – including an F-Type R with 542bhp – and it does look to be the perfect Jaguar sports car. Yes, it may be a bit heavier than its aluminium underpinnings would lead you to reasonably expect, but it does look glorious – much better than the F-Type Roadster – and the F-Type R promises real performance too. When the F-Type was revealed we had plenty of photos (above) and a launch video, but what we didn’t have is any videos showing us the F-Type in detail.

BMW SUCCESS AT BCA SALE

A WIDE selection of used BMW vehicles fetched a total of £9.2 million at a special sale held by BCA in December. 325 vehicles were sold at the Virtual Auction held at Park Plaza Riverbank, with an average selling price of £29,700. Interest was fuelled by a number of vehicles making their used market debuts, including the Mini Cooper D Countryman, new 520d, 525d and 530d 5 Series models and the X5 X-Drive 4.0d M Sport.
