1969 Original Rare 1st Edition Corvette Owners Manual With Full Card,#3955548 on 2040-parts.com
Edison, New Jersey, United States
First Edition 1969 CORVETTE OWNER'S MANUAL, #3955548 w/Full Card Up for bid is a Vintage and Original 1st Edition, from August 1968, a 1969 CORVETTE OWNER'S MANUAL, #3955548 with the FULL Corvette News Card. The unusual part to this manual is that there is no glossy red and black printed cover as you usually find. It just starts with the Full Corvette News Cover Card. I looked carefully at the staples and there is NO indication that there ever was a cover! Unless the standard cover was attached with other staples, there is nothing that would leave me to believe that there was a cover to begin with. I am not a car manual collector but I couldn't find another like it. Is this a variation or was there a cover but it is missing? If anyone would care to share some information on this for my knowledge, I would appreciate it. The manual is a bit dirty from handling, but every page is there and I could find no markings either. Please check out the photos which are a part of the description and Good Luck! |

The Countach was clearly the sale star, soaring to nearly three times its reserve price and settling at what is believed to be a UK auction record for this model, at £337,120 including commission and tax. The auction hall was treated to a struggle between bidders for ownership of the 8,500 mile car, which has been in professional storage for the last 23 years.

Fri, 28 Mar 2014Lord Brett Sinclair’s Aston Martin DBS V8 from The Persuaders For those of a certain age, the 1970s TV show The Persuaders evokes fond memories of Roger Moore as Brett Sinclair and Tony Curtis as Danny Wilde fighting crime on the French Riviera and driving an Aston Martin DBS and Ferrari Dino respectively. Now, more than 40 years since The Persuaders was aired, the Aston Martin DBS used by Brett Sinclair is to be offered for sale publicly for the first time at Bonhams Aston Martin works sale in May. With The Persuaders the most glamorous and expensive of Lew Grade’s TV adventures, the Aston Martin DBS was the perfect fit for Lord Brett Sinclair’s character (although the Tony Curtis/Danny Wilde Dino wasn’t exactly top-drawer Ferrari) and Aston Martin worked with ITC to make everything work for the show.
