Someone spent a lot of time cleaning this up. Though it still has gasket residue on the mating faces, the unit is so clean and dry you could leave it on your desk as a conversation piece. The only defect I could find is shown in the last picture; it appears that a few fins made minor ground contact at some time, and the rough edges were then dressed with a file, presumably by the same person who cleaned it so well. Use the Ebay zoom feature to verify that the damage is minor and cosmetic only. Inside steel baffle is clean, gate works well. So far we’ve had a bit of a poor opening episode, a cracking second episode with the McLaren P1 and Alfa 4C and a so-so third in the series with the seemingly fragile Zenvo ST1 and a road trip to the Ukraine in small hatches. But tonight’s episode looks very promising with a bonkers SUV from Mercedes, a custom-built Alfa from Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera and a pair of Caterhams – one from each end of the Caterham range.

It seems 200 hp and 150 lb-ft of torque just isn't enough. Japanese firm Gazoo Racing decided not to wait for the factory and built a supercharged—and turbocharged—Toyota 86 (our Scion FR-S) that it's calling the Gazoo Racing Sport FR.

Thu, 22 Mar 2012The Volvo C30 EV won't be going in to production Volvo has decided it will not put the C30 electric Car in to production and has called on the EU to address CO2 and EV targets. Just as many other car makers are doing, Volvo has had a small fleet of electric test cars plodding round the roads to see what they’re capable of in the real world, in Volvo’s case a fleet of electric C30s. But Volvo has decided that a production version of the C30 EV is a futile project and has revealed they will not be making a production version.
