Here is a Pro-Motorsports Ford Bump Steer Kit Bump Steer fix for 1970 to 1973 Mustang and Cougar. This bump steer kit relocates the outer tie rods down 1 inch and forward 1 inch. It is a must for competition and high performance street and track applications. Since it has to hold up to the abuses of competition use, it is made of the highest quality materials and made proudly in the USA! Had this in my 1970 Cougar for about 100 miles wit a manual rack. Fixed my bump steer but the manual rack had to go. Didn't need these with the power rack it so they need to go. These were $324.00 at Mustangs unlimited. MustangPlus has them for $319.99. Mustang Monthly did an article on these pieces. From the manufacturer>>>

"Bump steer is caused by the tie rod ends moving up and down as the suspension travels. When Mustangs are lowered, the tie rod ends get closer to a level position and under braking can actually go past the level position which causes the tires to toe outwards. This causes the car to pull from side to side during braking. Bump steer is corrected by relocating the outer tie rod downward with an intermediate spacer block that mounts on the spindle steering arm. This is a bolt on kit which requires no welding, heating, or bending of any kind. It will also quicken your steering ratio for better handling and road feel!"

Pontiac Vibe

Tue, 13 Nov 2007

One week after Toyota introduced its new Matrix at the SEMA show in Las Vegas, Pontiac presented the new redesigned Vibe at the LA Auto Show, a five-door hatchback short wagon that - like the Matrix - is derived from a lengthened and widened Corolla platform. Clear brand differentiation between the two cars is done through the styling of the Vibe's excusive sheet metal and different interior finishes and trim. To better relate the Vibe to the Pontiac Solstice or G8, designers wanted to express more muscle and leave behind last generation's "mini-SUV" look.
