1970 1971 Mercury Cyclone 429 Cj Ram Air Cleaner Assembly Rare Original on 2040-parts.com
Woodstock, Georgia, United States
You are looking at a very RARE, ORIGINAL Ram Air Cleaner Assembly for a 1970 429 Cobra Jet Ram Air Cyclone Spoiler. This Air cleaner will also work any other 1970-1971 Cyclone, Cyclone GT or Montego with the 429 CJ Engine but was removed from a 1970 model 429CJ powered Cyclone.
This is an ORIGINAL Ford 429CJ Ram Air Cleaner Assembly that is all DETROIT STEEL!! This is the REAL DEAL. It is not some sort of off shore knock off, a goofy fiberglass repo or anything other than what it is supposed to be......a REAL Mercury Cyclone 429CJ Ram Air Cleaner! This 429CJ Ram Air Cleaner Base itself is a nice solid original piece. It has it's correct and original 429 CJ Quadrajet Carburetor configuration and its correct and original drain holes in the bottom. The base is just a Super Clean piece that has never had any damage or repairs done to it. It is hard to find original pieces that are this clean and unmolested. The air cleaner also comes with it's original 14 inch inner air cleaner lid as well. The Ram Air Flapper Plate is a Solid original piece with some patina. The remnants of the ORIGINAL "CJ 429" decal can still be seen on it. It also retains its original Vacuum Actuator Motor and Flapper door assembly. The vacuum motor does pull but is weak, so I would expect to have to rebuild or replace the vacuum motor at some point. The Ram Air Seal is in good driver shape, but does show its age some after many years underhood. It too is well patina'd and is an original piece.
This is a VERY RARE ORIGINAL FOMOCO 429 CJ Cyclone Air Cleaner Assembly and while certainly not a perfect piece by any means, it is a Super Solid example that would make for a nice center piece on your ORIGINAL 1970 Cyclone, Cyclone GT or Cyclone Spoiler. If your '70 429 CJ Cyclone is missing it's correct original Ram Air Cleaner Assembly and you have been looking for a replacement; then you can stop looking now as your 429CJ Cyclone Ram Air Cleaner Assembly has arrived!! Please look at the pictures and ask any questions BEFORE you bid!! I want you to be sure of what you are bidding on and for us both to be satisfied with the item and its sale. Call over winter transport issues
Fri, 03 Jan 2014MORE MUST BE DONE to enable transport systems to cope with bad winter weather, a report by MPs said today. Recent floods and gales showed that disruption was not just caused by snow, the report by the House of Commons Transport Committee said. Transport's winter resilience had improved but there was a risk that a few years of mild winter weather "could lead to a false sense of security and reduce the sector's preparedness over the longer term", the report said.
Mazda reveals Mazda2 EV with range-extender Wankel rotary engine
Sat, 21 Dec 2013Mazda reveals Mazda2 EV with range-extender Wankel rotary engine It’s long seemed logical that a compact Wankel rotary engine – running at a constant speed – would be a great way of fitting electric cars with a range-extender option. Audi flirted with the idea of fitting the A1 e-tron with a Wankel engine a couple of years ago, but that got shelved. And Mazda – keepers of the Wankel flame – came up with the idea of a Wankel engine bolted in to an EV and powered by hydrogen last year, but it seems to0 have gone nowhere.
Nissan scales back on auto shows
Fri, 27 Feb 2009Nissan said on Friday that it will not participate in some of the major auto shows in its new business year starting April 1, Reuters is reporting. The reason: to save money. This means no Nissan display at the show in Frankfurt in September and probably another absence in Detroit in January 2010.
