140mph Speedometer.
I removed this speedometer from a 1968 Tempest Custom just this week. The car has been parked in a field for over 30 years so the part is what it is.
I tried to clean the face and almost rubbed off all the 0 and the 140. Do Not do what I did and now the face should be replaced. I unhooked the speedometer cable and everything spins freely and everything seems okay. You can see the housing has surface rust. I am selling the speedometer but the whole cluster you see, is what you get.
I am not to sure about interchanging. Seems like the cluster may only fit Le Mans, Tempest and GT, but the speedometer itself may fit other models or years.
If you have any information or can lead me to some resources so I do not mislead anyone, it would be helpful. Thanks.
Any questions feel free the ask. Happy bidding, good luck.

Low-level lights for cyclists get approval

Following the approval Transport for London can now install the lights at Bow Roundabout – the first time the lights have been used in the UK.
Team Lotus snaps up Caterham +video
Wed, 27 Apr 2011Team Lotus buys Caterham Cars - and a Team Lotus Special Edition Seven to celebrate Team Lotus – that’s the ‘Lotus’ F1 run by Tony Fernandes, not the Hethel mob run by Dany Bahar – has bought Caterham Cars from Corven Ventures for an undisclosed sum. Which is all very apposite, what with Caterham being the spiritual home of Colin Chapman’s Lotus Seven and keeper of the Chapman ethos of lighter is better. To tie Caterham back in to the Lotus name could work wonders for sales.
BMW ActiveE: Electric BMW 1-Series at Geneva
Thu, 10 Feb 2011BMW 1-Series Electric - BMW ActiveE It’s been a while since we first saw the BMW ActiveE, the BMW 1-Series with the gubbins from the MINI E bolted under the bonnet (and various other places) and intended as the next instalment in BMW’s plans to charge its customers to do real-world development and research. In fact, the electric BMW 1-Series first crossed our radar in December 2009 and went on to be shown as a concept at the Detroit Motor Show a month later. And now it’s back at the Geneva Motor Show in March, only now it’s production-ready.
