Pictured here is a Polaris Snowmobile Rewind Starter used on early Polaris engines with the cooling fan attached to the flywheel. Polaris used this Rewind Starter on all Fan Cooled engines 1970 to 1978 and some models 1979 to1984. In the early 1980's they changed to a single starter dog system that is still used today. Measurements shown in photos tells the whole story and plus the fact that when they changed to a single starter dog system, they no longer used the stranded steel starter cable. If your Polaris rewind  has  a single Starter dog type rewind, this rewind will not fit.

New Range Rover (2013) wins Top Gear Luxury Car of the Year

Fri, 07 Dec 2012

The 2013 Range Rover – Land Rover’s new Flagship SUV – has won its first major award as Top Gear Luxury car of the year. Interestingly, it seems Land Rover are as sceptical as we were about the proclamation by the Sunday Times in October that the 2013 Range Rover was their luxury SUV of the year, despite never even driving it. Not that anyone is doubting the new Range Rover’s right to such a gong, just that it seemed odd to award it to a car that was still too new to judge.

Bentley plans to add four-seat sports car, crossover to lineup

Mon, 29 Aug 2011

Bentley Motors is looking to add a four-seat sports car and a crossover vehicle to its lineup, using borrowed platforms from Volkswagen Group siblings Porsche and Audi, its top executive said. In an interview during the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, Bentley CEO Wolfgang Duerheimer said the crossover would borrow from the Audi Q7 and Porsche Cayenne platforms. While the crossover may carry a V12 engine like the rest of the Bentley lineup, Duerheimer said, "not everyone needs to have a V12." Duerheimer, who oversaw Porsche's push into SUVs as the company's development chief, said he "knows what is possible" in bringing a luxury brand into new segments.

General Motors will work with its joint-venture partner, Chinese carmaker SAIC Motor Corp., to develop parts and vehicle platforms for electric cars, the companies said on Tuesday. The automakers will use their existing joint venture in Shanghai, the Pan Asia Technical Automotive Center, as the home base to develop the electric car--aimed primarily at the Chinese market. GM says it plans to use the platform, components and technology from the project to build electric cars around the world for various markets.
