I BOUGHT THIS ENGINE AS A LONG BLOCK THAT HAD NEVER BEFORE BEEN REBUILT. ONE OF MY PASSIONS IS TO RESTORE SMALL AND BIG BLOCK CHEVY ENGINES. ITS WAS ORIGINALLY A CTG CODE 350 300 HP ENGINE(SEE PIC OF ORIGINAL PAINT ON THE SIDE OF THE BLOCK.) THE STAMP ON THE FRONT PAD HAD BEEN GROUND OFF FOR WHATEVER REASON SO I HAD THE ENGINE DECKED DURING THE MACHINING PROCESS. THE ENGINE BLOCK IS A 3970010 1970 4 BOLT MAIN 350 THAT HAS BEEN CLEANED,MAGNAFLUXED,DECKED AND BORED 030. FITTED WITH NEW FLAT TOP HYPEREUTECTIC PISTONS . MACHINED ORIGINAL CRANK.010. NEW CONNECTING RODS FITTED WITH ARP WAVELOC BOLTS(MUCH STRONGER ROD THAN THE FACTORY ROD) NEW BEARINGS,AND RINGS. COMPLETE ASSEMBLY BALANCED. ORIGINAL AND CORRECT BALANCER AND TIMING COVER. NEW TIMING CHAIN. CAM SHAFT IS A LITTLE BETTER THAN A STOCK CAM BUT IS NOT WILD. YOU CAN STILL USE STOCK TORQUE CONVERTOR WITHOUT ANY ISSUES. CYLINDER HEADS ARE ORIGINAL 3927186(DOUBLE HUMPS) THAT ARE CORRECTLY DATED TO ENGINE BLOCK. THE HEADS WERE CLEANED, MAGNAFLUXED, NEW GUIDES,NEW HARDENED EXHAUST SEATS (FOR USE WITH UNLEADED FUEL), NEW GUIDE PLATES,NEW SCREW IN STUDS NEW STAINLESS STEEL VALVES,NEW VALVE SPRINGS THAT ARE SET UP TO MATCH CAMSHAFT. I USE A STOCK 1.94 INTAKE VALVE AND INCREASE THE EXHAUST VALVE SIZE TO 1.6 TO IMPROVE THE LOW END TORQUE. NEW ROCKER ARMS AND COMP CAMS PUSH RODS. NEW LIFTERS. INTAKE MANIFOLD IS THE ORIGINAL DATE CORRECT 300HP THAT HAS BEEN CLEANED AND ALSO MAGNAFLUXED. I BOUGHT A NEW JET PERFORMANCE QUADRAJET CARB IT IS THE CORRECT REPLACEMENT WITH CORRECT CHOKE SET UP ETC. ORIGINAL STEEL VALVE COVERS THAT ARE VERY NICE. NEW CORRECT AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY. NEW CORVETTE OIL PAN. REBUILT FACTORY TACH DRIVE DISTRIBUTOR WITH NEW IGNITION PARTS ,AND NEW SPARK PLUGS. IF INSTALLING IN A NOVA CAMARO OR CHEVELLE OIL PAN WILL NEED TO BE CHANGED(WHICH I WILL DO) NEW MELLING OIL PUMP WITH PICKUP SCREEN WELDED TO THE PUMP AS IT SHOULD BE. NEW AUTOMATIC FLWHEEL. REBUILT CORRECT DATED STARTER. RESTORED CENTER DUMP MANIFOLDS.NEW CORRECT FUEL PUMP AND LINES. ALL HOSES AND BREATHER PIPES ARE CORRECT. ALL BOLTS ARE CORRECT. I DONT PUT PULLEYS ON THEM BECAUSE THERE ARE TOO MANY COMBINATIONS FOR ACESSORIES.I GO TO GREAT LENGTHS TO MAKE SURE MY ENGINES ARE DONE CORRECTLY AND ARE BUILT WITH QUALITY PARTS,. Ford Motor Co. named Mark Fields to replace Alan Mulally as CEO on July 1, handing the reins to a 25-year company veteran after being saved by an auto industry outsider. “From the first day we discussed Ford's transformation eight years ago, Alan and I agreed that developing the next generation of leaders and ensuring an orderly CEO succession were among our highest priorities,” Executive Chairman Bill Ford said in a statement.
