Toyota RAV4 EV: Electric Toyota SUV not for sale

Tue, 19 Jul 2011

Toyota RAV4 EV - Not for Sale Note: Update to this story at the end. When we reported back in 2010 that there were plans afoot for an electric Toyota RAV4 (and a Lexus RX EV too, for that matter) it made sense. Toyota had just spent £35 million on a pile of Tesla shares, and done a deal for Tesla to use an old Toyota plant in Fremont which was about fifty times the size Tesla could ever need.

LaFerrari joins Supercar exhibition at Ferrari Museum in Maranello

Mon, 11 Mar 2013

The new LaFerrari has joined an exhibition of supercars at Ferrari’s Maranello Museum joining cars like the 250 GTO, F40, F50 and Enzo Ferrari. Ferrari boss, Luca di Montezemolo, has opened the Supercar exhibition in Maranello to showcase Ferrari’s greatest models all in one place, an opportunity Ferraristi will find hard to resist. As well as LaFerrari, Ferrari has on show perhaps the greatest supercar in their history – the Ferrari 250 GTO – which was built in very limited numbers – just 33 Series 1 and 3 Series 2 cars – and now commands prices around the $40 million mark, the 288 GTO, the F40 – perhaps the ‘Driver’s’ choice – the F50 and, of course, the Enzo Ferrari.

Wed, 06 Jun 2012

DRIVEN has had access to Christian von Koenigsegg and the Koenigsegg factory in Sweden for this 30 minute long look at all things Koenigsegg. We tend to refer to Koenigsegg as men in a shed in Sweden, which might sound disparaging – but it isn’t. It’s a big doff of the cap to an operation which, by any normal standards in the car world, is so small it couldn’t possibly do anything really innovative and ground breaking.
