Not rusty. Nice lid that fits and seals well. Wrinkle finish is a little unevenly applied and worn off in a few areas. A little white paint stuck on the bottom. Use as is, or blast it clean and then repaint it in its correct black wrinkle finish. Should look really nice then, especially with a new pie tin on top!. Nothing cut or altered. Up for your auction bids is this very nice original used 1970-71 Mopar A, B, and E-body 340 4-barrel high performance factory air cleaner.  Consists of the base, lid, and air filter. Sorry, no pie tin for lid, but they are readily available fairly inexpensively.  Looks to have possibly been a fairly low mileage piece.  This is the round air cleaner with two oval openings in it where the snorkels would normally be on the 383-440 air cleaners of the era.

Featured 1970-71 340 4-bbl air cleaner has no rust or pitting.  A very clean piece original as many of these go.  Not dented or badly dinged.  Lid fits nice and seals fine.  Nothing cut, drilled or bent--like some original air cleaners you see. The wrinkle finish on this is a little uneven and run in a few areas.  There is a little wear in finish in a few spots, and a few spots of white paint stuck on the underside.  You certainly could used this just as is for decent drivers.  For real nice cars however, you may want to blast it clean and re-paint the black wrinkle finish.  With the addition of a nice new pie tin on top, it should look about mint.

This is a very hard air cleaner to find any more, especially this clean, straight and original.  Available here at a realistic opening bid price too, compared to some your will see out there.  Be sure to put in that good bid today!  Satisfaction warranty to boot, so bid with confidence.  Thanks for stopping in to look and bid!

Mitsubishi Concept-CX (2007): first official pictures

Fri, 31 Aug 2007

By Ben Pulman First Official Pictures 31 August 2007 10:55 The Concept-CX looks like a Lancer supermini? Close, but no cigar. This is Mitsubishi’s Concept-CX and it shares the frontal styling (which the company describes as ‘a tight and powerful wedge’) and twin-clutch gearbox with the forthcoming Lancer Evo X.

2012 Honda Civic 2.2-litre i-DTEC with just 110g/km CO2

2012 Honda Civic - cleaner, greener, more powerful & more economical Honda are taking the launch of the new Civic for 2012  properly seriously, and looking to make it a properly good alternative to stuff like the Focus and Golf. That means the 2012 Honda Civic is going to have to handle properly as well as being very well put together. And on that score Honda are promising improved ride and handling for the 2012 Civic (despite a less than cutting-edge suspension at the back) and say it will be more stable and precise. Which all sounds good.

By Tom Richards First Official Pictures 05 August 2008 12:29 Here are the first pictures of the all-new Honda Jazz, the follow-up to the super-clever supermini that’s been on sale since 2002. You’ll have to wait until autumn 2008 for Honda’s UK dealers to launch the Jazz, but CAR has already pored all over the new supermini to bring you a full preview of the latest mini. So what’s the new Jazz like? Our first impressions are that it’s an easy-to-use model – with first-rate ergonomics.
