Here's a very nice original used 1970-74 Challenger, Cuda, Barracuda interior top of windshield area painted textured metal moulding that runs between the two plastic A-pillar mouldings that it connects up with. This one is still its original black color, but it could be easily scuffed down some and painted whatever color your interior is. No rust or pits. A very clean piece. Not dented, dinged, or bent. All mounting holes look good. For mint cars, I'd scuff it and paint it again just to have paint really crisp and new looking. Getting hard to find these E-body ones.
Brand:Original 1970-74 E-body hardtops. All models. Placement on Vehicle:Front Manufacturer Part Number:Mounts inside, up along headliner front edge. Surface Finish:clean, not rusty or pitted. I'd repaint to be mint Interchange Part Number:Textured metal moulding, painted interior color Warranty:Yes Other Part Number:Not bent, dented, or dinged. All mtg holes are gd. Country/Region of Manufacture:United States

Up for your auction bids is this very nice original used 1970-74 Mopar E-body (Challenger, Barracuda, Cuda) hardtop interior painted textured moulding, that mounts up by front edge of headliner next to top of windshield.  It gets screwed on to interior of roof area, and hides and protects the front edge of headliner on these cars.  It is currently painted its original black color, but could be easily sanded down a little and re-painted the color of your interior.  This trim moulding mounts between the plastic A-pillar mouldings on these cars, and measures approx. 42" overall length.

Featured interior painted metal moulding has no damage.  Nothing is bent, dented, drilled, pitted, or badly rusted.  Overall, a very clean original moulding. Texturing is all good. All screw mounting holes are good too.  The paint is original and pretty decent condition still.  For real nice cars, you may want to sand it down just a little and then re-paint it in color of your choice.  Should look about mint then.

Don't miss this often hard to find trim piece, if your car's is missing, damaged, rusted- out, or altered.  Not available in any reproduction format that I know of, so not getting any easier to come by.  Be sure to put in that good bid today at my realistic opening bid price on this piece.  Satisfaction warranty.  Thanks for stopping in to look and bid!

SSC Tuatara revealed in Shanghai

Sat, 13 Aug 2011

Jerod Shelby reveals the SSC Tuatara in Shanghai We finally discovered last month that Shelby Supercars wouldn’t be calling their new Veyron-bashing hypercar the Ultimate Aero II (which seemed logical) but has instead taken a leaf out of Pagani’s ‘Book of obscure names for Supercars’ and decided on SSC Tuatara. Yep, SSC has named their hypercar after the Maori name for a lizard, a lizard with the fastest evolving DNA of any creature (doubtless the motivation for Jerod nicking the name for his car). Interestingly, a comment on the story we ran about the new SSC getting the Tuatara moniker said that as well as having the fastest evolving DNA of any creature, the Tuatara “…puts a tortoise to shame in the slow moving stakes, and is also regarded as a living link to the dinosaurs” which, for Jerod Shelby’s benefit, we should probably gloss over.
