Here's a lot of Mopar 15" wheel rims and tires that I was using for rollers whild building my street rod. The rims are all 5 X 4 1/2 bolt pattern, and are in good condition, not bent, with just a little surface rust. I see similar rims sell for $20 to $25 at the swap meets. I just want to get rid of the whole lot and will stsart the bid at about 1/4 what the rims are worth. No shipping, though. You'll have to pick them up in the northern burbs of Minneapolis. I'm in no great hurry for them to be picked up, but would like to see them go sometime before summer ends. I'd like to be paid, though within 10 days of the auctions end. Here's exactly what's in the lot: (1) 15" X 6.5" wide rim with a 7.00 X 15" 6 ply truck tire on it. the rim has 3 lugs for hubcap mount. (1) 15" X 5.5" wide rim with 4 hubcap lugs and also a 7.00 6 ply truck tire. (1) 15" X 6.5" rim with 3 hubcap lugs and a 205-65 X15 radial tire. (1) 15" X 6.5" bare 4 lug rim, and lastly (1) more 7.00 X 15" 6 ply truck tires. The 6 plys are old and are weather checked on the sidewalls. They have about 1/4" of tread left, but would be O.K. for a trailer? or possibly just rollers as I used them? They provided some clearance for getting under the car. The rims can all be cleaned up and used for street duty. Hopefully there's a Mopar guy out there that can use this stuff?

By Tim Pollard Motor Industry 16 October 2008 11:22 Electric car start-up Tesla is restructuring its US operation and laying off around 100 staff, as the credit crunch continues to make life difficult for car companies big and small. It’s now on its fourth CEO in 12 months, as founder Elon Musk takes over from Ze’ev Drori. In an announcement on the chief exec’s blog, Tesla Motors said it would be ‘cash-flow positive’ within six to nine months – but only by increasing production and cutting operating costs.

Porsche unveils 2015 911 Targa

Mon, 13 Jan 2014

Porsche has given its latest 911 Targa a heavy dose of retro appeal through the adoption of a series of classic styling cues that hark back to that of the original model launched in 1965. Unveiled at the Detroit auto show, the new 911 Targa is based around the same aluminium bodyshell and four-wheel drive mechanical package as the 911 Carrera 4 Cabriolet, alongside which it will be produced at Porsche's Zuffenhausen factory on the outskirts of Stuttgart, Germany. Among the traditional styling elements Porsche's design boss Michael Mauer has chosen to resurrect on the new car is a fixed B-pillar hoop, or Targa bar as it has come to be known over the years.
