This front side marker is correct for the driver side on the 1970 AMX and Javelin.  It is also used on the Rebel and Rebel Machine.   It can be used on the opposite passenger  side, but the lettering on the amber lens will be upside down.  SAE PIA70 AB on the top portion of the amber lens and #2 on the bottom portion of the amber lens. Part # SF 3615615

-Chrome is faded on the edges
-There is a small hairline crack on the bottom left of the amber lens.  About 1/4" long (see first picture).

Note: These front and rear 1970 side markers were being reproduced by the original manufacturer over the years but recently they have been discontinued.  None of the AMC vendors have them in stock, so we are now back to using originals.

Aston Martin V12 Zagato confirmed for limited production

Aston Martin V12 Zagato confirmed for production It didn’t take a genius to work out that the Aston Martin V12 Zagato would not just be incarnated as the Zig and Zag cars for the Nurburgring, but as a proper production car. Not a production car in the true sense, but a limited edition car much like the Aston Martin Zagato’s gone by. In fact we reported some time ago that we expected the V12 Zagato to start a limited production run of either 89 or 99 cars as soon as the Aston Martin One-77 ends production, and that the target price would be in the £300-350k range.

Pierre Authier: I'm not moving to Opel/Vauxhall

Fri, 31 Aug 2012

As the ongoing General Motors designer saga continues, the latest Opel/Vauxhall Vice President of Design elect, Pierre Authier has taken his name off the shortlist for the Rüsselsheim. Car Design News had received information from a reliable source within PSA about Authier's supposed move, however we have since spoken to Pierre, who was keen to put the record straight: “I read the flattering article on my recruitment as VP of Design for Opel/Vuaxhall, but this information is false,” he told CDN. “I am really enjoying my position at Peugeot and with the 208 family team that has made such incredible work.” The search for the missing piece in the GM puzzle continues.
