The previous air cleaner listed in this auction was the wrong one. I've had a few people asking about the air cleaner pictured, so I took new pictures with the correct air cleaner that goes with this auction. The previous air cleaner was a 1970, but had the baffle. The non ram air tubs have the baffle. The previous air cleaner is now listed separately. It can still be a correct ram air cleaner by removing the baffle and drilling a hole at the bottom. The air cleaner now listed in this auction is the correct ram air assembly.**********************************

This is a almost complete ram air set up for the 1970 AMX & Javelin. What's missing that comes to mind is the air cleaner lid. The only broken pieces are the induction trim pieces both have one stud each broken off(pictured). Everything else is either without cracks or broken sections. The air cleaner suffers only lite surface rust. Very sturdy and clean. No rust hole or major pitting. The heat riser is also impressive without any broken or split sections. Please look strongly at the pictures and feel free to ask any questions. Thanks for looking and please take a look at my other AMC auctions!

Porsche uses phone-formatted bar codes to connect with customers

Tue, 12 Jul 2011

Porsche is harnessing the power of smartphones, using Microsoft Tag bar codes to provide dealership customers with unique information about the cars they're looking at. Buyers can scan the square stickers with a properly equipped phone, and the application will take them to dedicated microsites where they can see stats, videos and pictures of the car, along with audio clips of a flat-six engine revving up. Through the microsite, buyers can provide contact info for a follow-up call from Porsche salespeople.

Updated March 2013: Go straight to the update here. Wisdom borne of experience: If you are contemplating the purchase of a British car and the vital parts of that car are in more than, say, two cardboard boxes, your purchase is suspect. Obviously there are exceptions: The D-type Jaguar comes to mind.
