Here's a super nice QuadraJet that I removed from a 1970 Buick 455.  The numbers (7040240) indicate that it was produced for a 1970 Buick 455 engine. . Of course it can be used with any BOP manifold that requires a spreadbore QJ.  Many years of cars for this one too.  This is one of the more desirable carbs with the front inlet applications.   It is rare and valuable carburetor..

This is a really nice carburetor, but some idiot sprayed it with silver or grey paint, some of which came off when I sprayed carb cleaner on it.  I decided  it was still worth removing from the junkyard.  The winning bidder should soak this in a bucket of carb cleaner to remove the remaining paint.  This one comes with the divorced choke, used from 68-72, the intake warm-up coil and intake manifold plate to get the choke to open properly. It's all there!!

There's nothing wrong with this carburetor other than it is ugly and that is only due to the paint that the village idiot put on it.  Once the carb is stripped it will be a very good Q-jet for someone.  It's the 1970, 455, Buick GS carb for crying out loud.  It cost me $65 to get it out of the junkyard and now I'm not going to use it.  I am only trying to get back what I have into it.

All of the throttle plates move, as they should, the linkage seems fine and it looks nice.    Don't know how long it has been out of service, but it is good candidate for a driver or performance build.

The buyer pays the shipping, $20 for USPS Priority Mail, I will insure this and package well. The reserve is built into the opening bid, so no reserve auction.  I will answer questions and can send larger pics by email, send the request to 951 415 6311, with your electronic mail address.  If you need the webpage, to research the numbers, just ask.

Payment is by PayPal, happy bidding, don't get sniped.  Intended for US shipping only.

Vauxhall calls its new 2013 city car the Adam

Tue, 08 May 2012

Vauxhall has revealed the name for its new city car – the car previously dubbed Junior will in fact be called the Adam. It’s one of the more oddball car names we’ve heard recently. As well as announcing the Adam name, Vauxhall today issued two photographs of a disguised city car, giving us the first official glimpse of its new hatchback.

Bentley-designed Santa’s sleigh

Wed, 17 Dec 2008

By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 17 December 2008 14:30 We reckon Father Christmas is probably a bit of a Bentley guy: he has a large number of miles to cover in speed and in great comfort – and he needs something big and plush to look after all those presents. What better solution than something mixing the design class of a Bentley with the snow-covering ability of a downhill toboggan? Bentley designers John Paul Gregory imagined a futuristic Santa Azure Sleigh (complete with rifled tailpipes and exposed Bentley Blitzen powerplant), while Yunwoo Jeong turned the Continental GTC cabrio into a sleigh with quad-outrigged headlamps and begoggled Santa.

World premier for the Fiat Trepiuno concept at the Geneva Motor Show

Mon, 16 Feb 2004

Fiat has announced that its "move into the past for a fresh look to the future" is to be seen at the Geneva Show, where it shall unveil the Trepiuno. The name is very unusual (and one can't help wondering how they will spell and pronounce it outside the borders of Italy), but the car concept is not. The new small car is actually intended to be a modern remake of the Fiat 500 (not Cinquecento) success.
