1970 Chevelle 307 Long Tube Headers Small Block Chevy Sbc on 2040-parts.com

Hallstead, Pennsylvania, United States
Condition:Used

These headers came off a Chevelle with an automatic transmission. I bought the engine and headers not realizing they will NOT clear the clutch linkage for a 4-speed manual transmission.

I could not find any part numbers or brand names anywhere.

They seem in near perfect shape other than the cosmetics of surface rust. I'm assuming the factory paint was left on without stripping and repainting with high-quality high-temp paint. Hedman headers are shipped with a protective paint that will not withstand the heat of use. Maybe these are Hedman headers? Just a guess,..

This is my first time doing an engine swap and am learning as I go. Because of that, I cannot guarantee ANY fitment of these parts into your vehicle. They should bolt onto any small block Chevy is my understanding but I need for you to be 100% sure on your end. I do not want you to get something you can't use but don't have much to offer to help you out after the sale is completed.

I will pack these the best I can. I have shipped many very expensive items over the years and will do everything I can to make sure they arrive safe and sound.

I have perfect feedback because I've worked so hard to be easy to work and try to have the utmost integrity as both a buyer and a seller. You can bid with confidence that I will do my best for both of us!

Please ask any/all questions before bidding. I will answer as promptly as possible.

If you bid, you agree to all terms of the auction.

There will be no returns and any circumstances.

I will pay the shipping costs and also choose the carrier. (Probably UPS). If you have a preference or specific need, that will likely incur extra costs above my choice. I will deduct my preference from your request as best I can to try to keep the price equitable to us both.

I live in the country and will be able to ship on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. I will keep you posted as I go the best I can.

PayPal payments only please.

Is the V8 a dying breed? Auto engineers expect more turbos, smaller engines

Tue, 21 Apr 2009

The V8 engine, a symbol of power and prestige for more than a century, is looking more and more like an endangered species. A panel of powertrain experts speaking on Tuesday at the 2009 SAE World Congress painted a bleak picture for big engines in this era of tightening emission standards and volatile fuel prices. But smaller engines will not mean drivers have to give up performance.

Marc Girard appointed head of Interior Design at BMW Cars

Wed, 01 Apr 2009

Marc Girard starts his new job as head of the Interior Design department at BMW Automobiles today, taking over the post previously held by Michael Ninic who died unexpectedly last year. His appointment also alleviates some of the pressure put on Adrian van Hooydonk, who has effectively been managing both exterior and interior design departments for BMW Cars as well as acclimatizing to his new role as design director of the BMW Group following Chris Bangle's departure last month. A BMW Group designer for the last 15 years, French-born Girard was most recently team leader for Interior Design at BMW Automobiles, having been promoted from the position of head of interior design at MINI - a role he filled from 2004 to 2006.
