Welcome To DANVIL1

Canadian Owner's Manual (2nd Edition November 1969) which included every motor at this point including the LS6 and LS5 454's. 80 page Canadian Owners Manual is complete with some wear on the covers and only two pages has tire service records written in pen. There were THREE Edition's of these Owners Manuals, the First Edition did not have the full motor line up, This Second Edition is more sought after because of the November 1969 date that covers most built cars and notes LS5 and LS6 motors. The Third Edition was dated May 1970 which is for the later built cars. Interesting how GM Of Canada called the 396 (402) motor a 400 in there Owner's Manual.

Also included in this auction is a Canadian Dealer Sales Brochure.
16 page General motors of Canada Sales Brochure is in excellent shape with a dealer stamp on the back from "Belmont Chev-Olds".

As you can see these are entirely different from there USA versions and they do not have reproductions of these "GM Of Canada" Pieces.
Will make a great addition if your 70 Chevelle was ordered in Canada or if you have a 70 Chevelle ordered from the USA but built from the Oshawa Canada plant
.

Vettel and Webber make it a 1-2 for Red Bull in China

Sun, 19 Apr 2009

Red Bull's Vettel and Webber celebrate their 1-2 in Shanghai [ad#ad-1] This is the most topsy-turvy start to a Grand Prix season in many a year. First we have a rookie team – Brawn GP, which didn’t even exist a few weeks ago – taking the lead and winning the first two races of the season. And now, in Shanghai at the Chinese Grand Prix, Red Bull has achieved its first ever F1 win with a stunning 1-2 by drivers Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber After two days of high temperatures and sunshine the Shanghai Grand Prix set off in a procession behind the safety car in torrential rain, and stayed that way for the first eight laps.

America trialling solar-powered roads

Wed, 14 May 2014

Solar Roadways After glow-in-the-dark road markings proved to be a bit of a flop when the paint washed away in the rain, experts are now experimenting with solar-powered motorways. A small, family-owned American company based in Idaho called Solar Roadways has created a short section of road that uses the sun’s energy to power nearby buildings, as well as electric cars. If the solar-powered roads are adopted worldwide, it could put an end to the range-anxiety commonly associated with electric vehicles.

Crusade saves Brighton Speed Trials

Mon, 27 Jan 2014

THE BRIGHTON Speed Trials, thought to be the longest-running motorsport event in the UK, has been saved following a crusade backed by thousands of people. Since 1905, the annual event has gained international acclaim for showcasing top-class cars and motorbikes racing over a quarter of a mile at Madeira Drive on Brighton's seafront. Organisers launched a campaign amid fears the event could be scrapped because Green-led Brighton and Hove City Council had not accepted an application to host it this year.
