Kia announces new concept to debut in Frankfurt

Kia will unveil a new B-segment concept at next month's Frankfurt motor show, following from the similarly sized recent Provo and CUB concepts. The unnamed concept, previewed in two renders, is said to feature a mix of contrasting materials inside the compact car and has been designed in Europe to suit European tastes and expectations. The interior render shows a one-piece seat base for driver and passenger, pierced by a pair of braces that support the IP.

Volvo has revealed the first details and images of the Concept XC Coupe, a new show car for the Detroit Motor Show in January 2014. The second of what will be three concepts based on Volvo’s new ‘Scalable Product Architecture’ (SPA), the Concept XC Coupe follows on from the Volvo Concept Coupe that debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. German artist Felix Deimann explores abstract shapes in his latest animation, creating a work that's full of inspiring forms. While it’s common for car designers to talk up how dynamic their designs are, and how they've been inspired by anything from a swimming shark to a fighter jet, this work is far more authentic in its visualization of movement. His thesis takes its name from the Olympic motto 'Citius, Altius, Fortius,' which is Latin for Faster, Higher, Stronger.
