Here is a 1970 E Body console needing some attention. There is a chip of plastic missing in the shifter  area as pictured.  this is the weak area of these consoles because of the thin strip of plastic that is supposed to hole it together. the rest of this console is very nice with glove compartmet lid and hinge . The latch button does not work well and the latch hook is missing. The console metal insert is made of cast pot metal has some rust pits here and there. Anxious parents back tougher learner driver rules

PARENTS of young people are anxious about their offspring driving - with nearly three quarters in favour of probationary licences being given to new drivers. In a survey conducted ahead of the Government Green Paper on improving young drivers' safety, 82% of those questioned said the thought of their child driving on British roads made them feel anxious. A total of 60% said that was because of their lack of experience.

Caterham launches surprise motorbike division

CAR MAKER Caterham has created a motorcycle division in a shock announcement that sees the brand break new ground. The company, which as well as manufacturing the famous Seven roadster operates one of Formula 1 racing’s 11 teams, has revealed three prototype bikes to kick its two-wheeled ventures off. These prototypes, two of which look more like bicycles, have been scheduled for production in 2014, sparking surprise and debate among bikers and sports car fans.
