1970 Ford 5-Volume Car Shop Manual Set This is an original set of shop manuals for 1970 Ford passenger cars. 5-Volume in fair / good condition. The manuals show moderate wear and some soiling, but are complete and fully usable. Bindings are intact. The engine section is perhaps the most worn, but still quite acceptable.Approximate size 7 x 10" , 2.5" thick combined, printed in USA. Be sure to pick up this great reference at a great price. BMW ActiveHybrid 3 (2012 / 2013): New 3 Series Hybrid details revealed
Tue, 18 Oct 20112012 BMW ActiveHybrid 3 - on sale late 2012 BMW hasn’t had the most astonishing success with its hybrid offerings to date, but despite that, and following the reveal of the 2012 3 Series last week, they have announced details of the 3 Series hybrid – the BMW ActiveHybrid 3. Just like the recently revealed ActiveHybrid 5, the BMW Active Hybrid 3 will get a 302bhp twin-turbo six-pot (the same engine as the 335i) together with an electric motor which throws an additional 53bhp in to the mix. That should mean a 0-60mph of around 5.5 seconds (although BMW has given us no performance figures) and it will give 44mpg, exactly the same as the bigger ActiveHybrid 5 – and not exactly spectacular.
Honda cuts UK production by 50 per cent
Wed, 06 Apr 2011Honda (UK) cuts production Japan is slowly recovering from the earthquake and tsunami that hit on 11th March. Or at least its production is. Honda has revealed that it expects its Japanese plants to resume production of 11th April – just one month after the disaster – but initially that will be at just 50% capacity due to a shaky parts supply line.
U.S. set to raise fuel-economy standard
Tue, 19 May 2009Government regulators will get their prize of higher fuel-economy standards, and automakers will get the certainty of a national emissions standard, under new rules to be proposed Tuesday by President Barack Obama. The fleet average fuel economy for automakers will rise to 35.5 mpg in 2016 under the president's proposal--10 mpg more than today's mandate. At the same time, the president's proposed rule will cut carbon emissions, thought to be a key factor in global warming.
