The weather wasn’t all it could have been but that didn’t stop the fun at the 2013 instalment of CarFest South at Laverstoke Park Farm near Basingstoke in Hampshire. The annual event organised by DJ, TV presenter and famous car nut Chris Evans ran over three days with a sell-out crowd helping raise money for Children in Need.MSN Cars was on site capturing the best of the cars and the atmosphere. Toyota’s Hiromu Naruse dies in LFA Nurburgring accident

Hiromu Naruse dies in LFA Nurburgring Frankly, we’re not too sure of all the details, but it appears that Hiromu Naruse, Toyota’s Chief Test Driver – and Akio Toyoda’s personal driver – has been killed on a public road near the Nurburgring whilst at the wheel of a Lexus LFA Nurburgring Special. The reports coming in  state that Naruse collided with a BMW being driven by two test drivers. Neither of the test drivers in the BMW was killed, although it seems that one has life threatening injuries and is in a critical condition.

Winners announced for Car Design Awards China 2010

The winners of the inaugural Car Design Awards China 2010 were announced at an awards ceremony on 21 April in Beijing, just prior to Auto China. Automotive design directors and the design press gathered at automotive design studio CH-Auto to celebrate the achievements of the next generation of car designers. Presenters Edward Wong (China Central Academy of Fine Arts) and Kumo Chiu (Idea Dao Design) took to the stage and introduced the winning student designers in five awards categories.
