CHEVY 14" WIRE HUBCAPS

THESE  CAPS ARE GETTING HARDER TO FIND AND REALLY COOL TO DISPLAY IF YOU ARE RUNNING CUSTOM WHEELS.  TWO 14 INCH REAR WHEEL DRIVE CAPS ARE INCLUDED.  I BELIEVE THESE CAPS WERE USE ON A VARIETY OF GM PRODUCTS FROM THIS ERA WITH OTHER CENTER CAPS.  AGAIN THESE ARE 14 INCH WIRES WHICH HONESTLY ARE MUCH, MUCH HARDER TO FIND THAN THE 15 INCH VERSIONS.

ON TO THE DESCRIPTION.  WE TRY TO BE AS HONEST AND COMPLETE IN OUR DESCRIPTIONS AS WE CAN.  THESE ARE UNRESTORED CAPS IN GOOD OVERALL CONDITION.  GOOD CAPS FOR THE VEHICLE MISSING THEM.   THEY SUFFER FROM SOME TYPICAL WEAR INCLUDING SCRATCHES, LITTLE DINGS, BB SIZE FOR THE MOST PART, AND VERY LITTLE CURB SCRATCHING AT THE EDGE THAT IS VERY SMALL IN NATURE.   THEY ALSO HAS SOME PITTING AT THE CENTER HUB, TYPICAL OF CAPS FROM THIS ERA.    ANYWAY, THEY ARE NOT PERFECT FRIENDS, NONE OF THESE OLD CAPS ARE.  HOWEVER THEY ARE GOOD, UNRESTORED EXAMPLES THAT WOULD LOOK GOOD IN MOST APPLICATIONS.  HARD CAPS TO FIND AND VERY REASONABLY PRICED.  COOL WALL ART TOO.  14 INCH.

COOL EXAMPLES FROM A DAY GONE BY.  ON A SCALE OF 1-5 WITH 5 AS THE HIGH, BASED ON AGE, RARITY & CONDITION I RATE THESE CAPS A 3 PLUS OVERALL.  PLEASE LOOK AT THE PICTURES CLOSELY TO MAKE SURE IT IS WHAT YOU WANT AND NEED BEFORE BIDDING.  THANKS!

ONE OTHER COMMENT, WE SPENT A SEVERAL WEEKENDS AT SOME OF THE LARGEST SWAP MEETS IN THE MIDWEST OVER THE LAST FEW YEARS.  HUNDREDS OF VENDORS, THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE AND NONE OF THESE.  TAKE A CLOSE LOOK AT THEM.  WE ALSO ATTEND BARRETT JACKSON AND MECUM AUCTIONS REGULARLY. THE POINT IS THIS.  ONLY THE FINEST AND ULTRA EXPENSIVE CARS SEEM TO HAVE PERFECT TRIM.

I try to be honest about what I sell.  Almost all of these old hubcaps have imperfections.  Unless you are willing to spend hundreds for a set the best you can do are look for those in decent shape which these are.

WE SHIP ALL OVER THE WORLD AND COMBINE SHIPPING!

These old car parts are becoming more and more scarce.  After 9 years of selling over a 7000 items we've come to this conclusion.   If we can't sell the parts for a reasonable price, we're going to warehouse them. This is especially true of the nice parts and more unusual parts.  All they can do is go up in value.  Our point is this.  We've got the space and the means to collect and store what we sell.  Having said that don't be surprised if we run an item only once or twice and if it doesn't sell it doesn't show back up.  Please don't misunderstand us.  We want and do appreciate your business.  It just doesn't make sense to us to spend time and money relisting items over and over when almost all of these parts have only one way to go in the future.  UP.

PLEASE NOTE:  DUE TO SEVERAL NON-PAYERS WE HAVE ADDED THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT MEANT FOR THOSE TYPE OF BIDDERS.  WHILE THE VAST MAJORITY OF BUYERS PAY FOR WHAT THEY BID ON, WE HAVE RECENTLY SEEN A SIGNIFICANT INCREASE IN UNPAID ITEMS.  SO>>>IF YOU PLAN ON BIDDING PLEASE PLAN ON PAYING.   THANKS.  HAPPY BIDDING.

Fiat 500 Coupe Zagato (2011) at Geneva motor show

Thu, 03 Mar 2011

Fiat surprised the Geneva audience with a Zagato-bodied variation on the familiar new 500 theme.  Fiat 500 Coupe Zagato: an Italian Mini Coupe rival With Mini branching out in all different directions and Citroen growing its DS brand, it was perhaps inevitable that Fiat would try new things with the 500. It looks strikingly different at first sight, but the Coupe Zagato is based on the existing 500 platform. The differences mainly concern a modified lower roofline, bearing the traditional Zagato double-hump roof contours and rear window/C-pillar treatment.  The standard 500 interior has been retrimmed in black and yellow leather to match the ‘Pop Yellow’ exterior hue.

Film Friday: The 1965 Chevrolets through the eyes of 60's TV stars

Fri, 04 Apr 2014

Earlier this week we wrote about Jeep's new Cherokee ad that ran during Saturday Night Live and starred cast members from Saturday Night Live. Jeep called it a “cast commercial” and apparently it had some precedent. We did a little digging and found this 5-minute spot on the new Chevy's for 1965 featuring the stars of “Bonanza,” “Bewitched” and “Man from Uncle.” “This is the '65 Corvette Sting Ray,” says Pernell Roberts from "Bonanza." “Looks like it means business, and it does.

Keeping Shelby alive

Mon, 19 Nov 2012

Carroll Shelby, the wild-spirited 89-year-old racing icon and king of thundering garage hot rods, lay on his deathbed last May struggling to talk. He urged his younger friend and business partner John Luft to lean closer. "Keep Shelby American alive," Shelby strained to tell Luft in his final hours.
