The biggest and boldest hood ornament of them all, the Fleetwood series unit.  This was also part of the estate sale group....I'm going to guess this one might of been mounted at some time but there is almost no wear on this 40+ year old part.  This is NOT a crappy repro that has the wrong colors and cheap chrome.  It's a legit Caddy part from back in the day.  Great chrome shine and good color...(Note: The clear lucite finish over the colors has some alligatoring, recommend good polish/buff and the colors will be more vivid).  Truly a survivor because these were made high quality back in the day.

APPLICATION:

1974-1976 FLEETWOOD
1971-1978 ELDORADO

**** ADDITIONALLY, I HAVE A COUPLE OF THE HARD-TO-GET SPRINGS THAT ARE REQUIRED TO MOUNT THIS....INCLUDING IT WITH THIS ORNAMENT AT NO EXTRA COST (See Pic).  THESE ARE N.O.S. (NEW OLD STOCK FROM THE 1970'S-80'S) THAT WILL PULL IT TIGHTLY TO THE BASE.  THIS IS A $15 ITEM SEPARATELY IN MY OTHER AUCTION.****

NOTE:  This is fully a General Motors original part, made over 37++ years ago.  This is NOT a reproduction by a Third Party...who generally offer poorer quality items with less accuracy (I posted a sample showing how the crest coloring is typically incorrect, and how the shine looks rather fake to the chrome.  Many "reproduction" or "Cadillac authorized versions" tend to stray from originality like this.  Very disappointing!).  Be assured...I sell you ONLY the REAL THING from G.M....not from an overseas factory doing cheap knock-offs.  When they say "NEW", it does NOT mean "New Old Stock (NOS)" from General Motors.  Buyers beware!

I recently purchased a box of vintage Cadillac hood ornaments, emblems and misc parts from the estate of a former Cadillac mechanic....who served for 20+ years between the mid 1970's to 1990's.  He apparently had an appreciation for crests/wreaths, and had a modest collection of them in NOS  and/or mint condition examples.  He did not retain the original boxes, as they were in a glass case for display.  I am identifying this collection and posting these pristine examples over the next few weeks, so that they can find homes on the vintage cars they truly deserve.  Using my Master Parts books, I will identify the applications as best I can, but as always, the final determination for use on your car is your responsibility.

I HAVE MANY 1971-78 ELDORADO PARTS...MESSAGE ME WITH YOUR NEEDS~!

Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 Bicolore revealed in Qatar

Wed, 26 Jan 2011

The United States will not get the latest Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 Bicolore Edition, which was unveiled at the Qatar motor show this week. The all-wheel-drive version will be a European- and Asian-market-only car, Lamborghini says. While this exclusion could cause an uproar among American Sant'Agata enthusiasts, all hope is not lost.

Infiniti Essence unveiled at the Geneva motor show 2009

Tue, 03 Mar 2009

By Ben Pulman First Official Pictures 03 March 2009 11:38 This is the Infiniti Essence, a petrol-electric rear-wheel-drive coupe with 592bhp. It’s a concept, built to celebrate Infiniti’s 20th anniversary, but also to preview the company’s future design themes and environmentally friendly technologies, both of which will be essential if the badge is to conquer the UK market later this year. It’s not, but the petrol-electric drivetrain is a glimpse of Infiniti’s future power units.

2014 MINI John Cooper Works Concept revealed ahead of Detroit debut

Tue, 17 Dec 2013

The 2014 MINI John Cooper Works Concept (pictured) will debut in Detroit next month The new MINI was revealed just last month, and it sounds the gong for the start of the race to churn out as many variants on the MINI as BMW can manage. And the first of what will be many variants to come of the new MINI is this – the new MINI John Cooper Works Concept – revealed this morning ahead of a debut in a few weeks at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show. MINI aren’t letting on what’s under the bonnet of the new MINI JCW, but it seems almost certain it will be a more powerful version of the new 2.0 litre petrol for the Cooper S, which gets 189bhp in the Coopper S but will doubtless get something north of 200bhp in the new JCW.
