The Chevrolet Aveo debuts at Paris It always seems a bit strong proclaiming that a new car has been revealed when we know it’s probably going to be a year before said car hits the showrooms. And so it is with the new Chevrolet Aveo we have here which, despite Chevy saying this is the production car, won’t hit the roads in the UK for a year. That long gestation period could even change the 2011 Chevy Aveo in to the 2012 Chevy Aveo, which considering the ‘Concept’ for the new Chevy Aveo was shown at Detroit in January is one long introduction phase.

Renault confirms new standalone coupe model

Renault has confirmed that it’s working on a new coupe model, to sit above the Megane Coupe, but to be sized and priced below the existing Laguna Coupe. Work only began late in 2010, but there will be a Renaultsport version and the Alpine name may feature. What do new know about this new Renault coupe?

Free online video tutorials on the car design process are being presented on an interactive blog launched by a Johnson Controls lead engineer. Arvind Ramkrishna, who has worked in the automotive sector for over 10 years, set up ‘Driven Mavens' to teach students and enthusiasts how to design cars using both traditional methods and the latest digital software. Two full free courses are offered, one of which is ‘How to Draw Cars: Drawing in Perspective'.
