1971 Triumph Tr6 Smiths Fuel Gauge (oem) on 2040-parts.com
Ruckersville, Virginia, US
Up for sale is a completely and meticulously refurbished Smiths Fuel Gauge from my 1971 Triumph TR6. This gauge has been disassembled and rebuild via the following: (1) Shell media blasted to bare metal (2) Internal shell primed and painted in brilliant white (3) External shell painted with POR-15 gray to glass-like finish (4) Gauge face white glove polished with Pledge and dust free cloth (5) Original Glass bezel retained and cleaned (6) New gaskets from Nisonger (7) Swapped original flat black bezel with chrome from Nisonger (retained original and will include with sale) This came out so well I intended to keep it for a future swap. However, due to a change in priorities and limited space, my hope is this beautiful piece of history goes into a working "six"! Please let me know if you have questions.

Wed, 05 Jun 20135,000 2009 Toyota Prius (pictured) are being recalled Toyota has had a bit of a nightmare with recalls in recent years, and the news that they’re now having to recall 242,000 Prius models from 2009 worldwide is another financial, and logistical, problem for Toyota. But in truth, the recalls are about car makers now taking responsibility for faults in their cars which become apparent long after warranties have expired, and that’s no bad thing. The Prius models affected are those built between March 2009 and October 2009 (you can check if your car is affected here) and the UK has 4,947 cars on the road that need to be looked at by Toyota’s dealers.
Audi A4 Allroad quattro ready to roll
Sun, 15 Feb 2009The Audi A4 Allroad quattro - launches at Geneva in March [ad#ad-1] It looks like Geneva is going to be more of a highlight than the recent Detroit Motor Show, which turned in to something of a sombre occasion. No surprise really, considering the US auto industry is in the worst shape of any in the world (been there, done that – remember BL in the ’70s?). But Europe, despite the current economic woes, makes the best cars in the world, and is going to be out in force in March.
