Cadillac CTS-V Estate / Wagon official

Mon, 29 Mar 2010

The Cadillac CTS-V Wagon / Estate will debut at the New York Motor Show After Bob Lutz’ comments that the Cadillac CTS-V will come in any flavour you want, we’ve known that not only will there be a CTS-V Coupe – which was officially revealed in January at Detroit – but that there would be a Cadillac CTS-V Wagon as well. The arrival of the CTS-V Estate became certain when we got hold of spy photos of the CTS-V Estate and now Cadillac has issued official pictures of the load-lugging, barn-storming Wagon ahead of its official reveal at the New York Motor Show this week. Cadillac aren’t calling the New York Show Car a Concept, but nor do they consider it a production version.

Citröen Metropolis concept car (2010) first pictures

Mon, 19 Apr 2010

By Chris Chilton First Official Pictures 19 April 2010 16:34 Citröen is using this week’s 2010 Shanghai motor show to give a sneak view of how a new Citröen limo could look. The press statement says the Metropolis concept ‘pays homage to China’s extraordinary development’ but just how this Citröen forces millions of people to live in poverty with no access to an uncensored media isn’t yet clear.A massive 5.3m long (longer than a stretched 7-series) but only 1.4m high, the four-door coupe’s styling has echoes of Citröen’s incredible GT supercar concept of 2008 and was developed by Citröen’s Shanghai-based design team. China’s car market is phenomenally lucrative and rich Chinese are hungry for luxury saloons so the Metropolis is likely to resurface as a Chinese-market limo rather than point to the next C6.A Citröen hybrid limoTo ensure occupants get a level of ride quality worthy of a limo it’s fitted with Hydractive suspension; to keep their conscience clean it’s fitted with a plug-in hybrid drivetrain.

Volkswagen iBeetle takes iPhone integration to another level

Mon, 22 Apr 2013

When we’re all walking round with Smartphones that possess the sort of computing power only a major desktop could offer just a few years ago, it makes sense for car makers to tap in to that power to control functionality and Infotainment in their cars. Which is why Volkswagen has rolled out the iBeetle at this week’s Shanghai Motor Show with a level of integration with Smartphones from Apple, and that previews a roll-out of Apple integration from VW, offering far more functionality and control than we’ve seen before. Or at least that’s the VW claim.
